- Am I the First to do this?
Of course the run I finally beat Demi-Fiend, is where I keep making really bad mistakes... I promise most of my other attempts wasn't this bad. But I think the main reason for that was stress. I pretty much been working on this for two weeks straight, and it was driving me crazy. It worked out in the end, but I'm so glad it's finally over... So, yeah. I know this isn't the best gameplay ever, I just didn't want to spend another two weeks just for "better" gameplay.
STRATGEY 1/4
Gaea Rage/Freikugel
Obviously, the main threat is Gaea Rage, which Demi-Fiend will use if you don't kill at least one of his demons ever five or six turns. But when defeating one of Demi-Fiend's demons, he will summon another, then on his next press turn he will use Freikugel. However, there is a way to minimize the amount of times that Demi-Fiend will use Freikugel. Basically, all you need to do is keep at least one of Demi-Fiend's demons low on health at all times, so that they can be finished off at the last minute to avoid Gaea Rage (the exception to this is Pixie and Pravati, kill them ASAP). Of course, Demi-Fiend will use Freikugel at some point... If it crits most of the time it will kill, especially if Demi-Fiend's party start spamming Luster Candy and Debilitate. Guarding helps, but luck will be needed to survive it. Also, I did try to use Shield of God to defend from Freikugel, it help but I find that I would start lacking in damage if I used it to much.

Buffs/Debuffs
Demi-Fiend's party will use Dekaja, and Dekunda if you have any stat maxed. This means you can get away with using Luster Candy and Debilitate once. However, Demi-Fiend's party can also use Luster Candy and Debilitate at anytime, consider it a more expensive Dekaja, and Dekunda. But because of that, I consider Boon Boost/EX to be completely useless. There's not point in wasting a skill slot, when Demi-Fiend party can just spam Luster Candy and Debilitate multiple times on one party turn. That's just my opinion though. Other then that, there's really only one more thing to be careful about. The miracle "Enhanced Summon". It raises one stat to a demon that you summon, and if you use Luster Candy after summoning, pretty much guarantees Dekaja will be used. That screwed me up many times, so watch out for that if you want to try this.

Damage
I approached this like a normal run. Spamming the Magatsuhi skill Omagatoki Critical, whenever I could. At the very least I would want to have my party's stats up by one, and Demi-Fiend's party down by one. But when I had the chance I would max out my buffs on the turn that I used Omagatoki Critical, for the extra damage. I would pretty much repeat that process the entire fight. Once Demi-Fiend's health is low, and stats are on my side, I would pull out all my demons to give Nahobino 5 turns. Then I would use Omagatoki Critical before attacking, then hope the damage is enough to defeat Demi-Fiend.

ACCURSED POISON
Accursed Poison is 100% an exploit. HOWEVER, I allowed myself to use It once, to prevent Demi-fiend from using Mediarahan. If you tired doing this without Accursed Poison, It would take about a hour and a half to do. With this time length, and all the threats in this fight combined, is a very stressful experiences. Regardless of how well a run may be going, at a certain point you will lose control, and It's very difficult to recover from. Losing "control" can happen in many ways, Missing, aliments, healing, Chaotic Will, Luster Candy and Debilitate spam. All this could prevent you from doing damage, or not enough to Demi-Fiends party, and thus getting hit by a Gaea Rage. To beat Demi-Fiend without Accursed Poison you will need Immense luck, everything to go perfectly for you, and have it last the full hour and a half. Now, I'm not saying It's impossible to do this without using Accursed Poison. More, unlikely. But, time is not on the side of the player. When I was attempting this without Accursed Poison, my good runs would always end some point after Demi-Fiend used Mediarahan. There has also been a very few times where I'd reach that point with Nahobino still having his Enduring Soul, and Withered Goat. Mostly because of Freikugel and Chaotic Will, but my point is, Accursed Poison makes this a bit more doable.

I did not use Incenses, but I did use Sutras and Balms. I also did make use of the Miracles skill Warrior's Conception, Unforgotten Memories, Prayer of Strength, Vitality, Magic, Agility, and Luck for fusion.

Not my best performance, I made quite a few mistakes. But I didn't want to spend another two weeks trying to get "better" gameplay, sorry about that!
I feel this comment so much but ive learned that when there's very few people trying to do something in the first place nobody is really going to point a finger at your gameplay, especially when most people can't tell the difference between gamer master plan and complete fuck up

How many attempts did you do for this run?
Also I’ve got a question about the boss. If you have a resistance any higher than resist will the demi fiend have a chance to chaotic will you during his normal turns?
@@rift3487 Honestly, I gave up keeping track the first week I spent on it.
The only thing that should effect Demi-Fiend in terms of resistances, is if your entire party Null Phys. In that case Demi-Fiend will spam Freikugel. But for Chaotic Will, he just seems to use randomly as far as I'm aware.
@@ZakaiChI think he uses chaotic will every 4 turns if you don’t kill one of his pals, right?
I love the random lvl15 Zhen being shown off like it has any place in this.

Seeing how Zhens usually were an early game pain for DemiFiend when ambushed, I can see why

This run just shows how this battle is quite luck reliant and balanced (without repel psych/switching exploit).. but also without strategy and proper setup it's borderline impossible to pull it out. Maaan you must hav guts of steel
I think you might be the first person to ever do this run, not too many people had the patience to fight Demi fiend at low level, because of the level scaling, chaotic will and gaea rage.
So interesting to finally see someone do this run, true bravery and insanity

Undeniable peak
Watching the whole fight I felt tense. Demi-Fiend is known as a King for a reason. When he hit you with those Critical Ferikugal I felt those. And then when he hit you with the double Chaotic Will, I honestly thought it was over. But it came through, even with the accursed poison cheese, which honestly I believe is absolutely valid. Extending the fight would of killed you for sure. GGs.
I can never imagine he's beatable without reaching level 99, did you start a completely new game and dump every point to strength?

I'd love to know more about the strategy you're running. Not going full buff/debuff is interesting; and opting for res phys is actually crazy since I wouldn't ever think of any demon surviving his deadly fury and other demon attacks.

Nope, the initial Javelin Rain would most likely one shot at that level.

I only have a small understanding of this topic, but I'll give you a quick explanation.
There is a system inside SMT V that gives the player and his party a penalty to there attack and defense if there are to under leveled. It really depends on how low level you are to whatever you are fighting, but basically there is a line on how low level someone can be. Most of the time in low level runs like this, people tend to stay around 10 level under or above (in this game). However, If your to far under level you can be one hit, regardless if you resist whatever is used. For example, at the beginning of this fight when Demi-Fiend used Javelin Rain, it almost one shot Anubis. If he was any lower then 89 he would have died for sure, even with Resist Phys.
Like I said, I only have a small understanding on this. There's Definitely a lot more to this then just that, so please look more into it if you want. I just want to make it clear that I'm not claiming to know it all.
