Jackie perfectly described growing up in/around the hood but not being raised hood. People used to accuse me of lying about where I was from. I'm like hey guy...just because I come from a two parent home and had a father that made me grab a dictionary whenever I asked what a word meant don't mean I didn't live in the hood. It was just only so much the hood could live in us before my parents weren't going...at all. We read, we go to college, and we respect our elders over here...in the ghetto or not.

This fighting story is WAAAAY too relatable 🤣🤣🤣 I too am a bookworm from the burbs who grew up with HOOD, fighting friends where I felt safe but was praying they never "tapped me in"😭😭😭😭 OMG this is tooooo funny!😅

OMG! I thought I was kiddish for sleeping this was as a grown adult. I literally lived in a demonic filled home and I would get night terrors even as a new saved child at 13-16 the devil tormented me through dreams and even around our home. So when I got married my husband was my safe space. When he isn’t home overnights I sleep with the tv on or have my phone on with sound. It can be traumatic to always be scared at night but as I read God’s word or even have a prayer before bed that offers me some peace and limits my time on my phone/tv. God is good y’all, stay safe in this world ❤
