I loved David Crockett’s enthusiasm back then. Saturday night at 6:05 was my life from 1980-1987.
Many fond memories of David Crockett calling matches here as well. He and Tony were great together
erictoniaschwab1009- I loved his freak-outs too during big matches.
"Lookitim! Lookitim, Tony!"
@@CARTOONIVERSE1 and my favorite, Mulkey Mania. That was the greatest thing ever. David sold the heck out of that win.
@@unlimitedrabbit "There he is..the man...Ric Flair"
4:35 This is why we're here
"We're gonna talk about 1986"............ Nice, I'm all ears👂 the 80's were the glory days of Pro-Wrestling.
You're 100% correct on that, my friend.
I remember 1986. I loved the feud between Jimmy “The Boogie Woogie Man” Valiant and Paul Jones Army!
I remember this show very well. A month or so before the show aired they asked fans to write them and give them a list of 4 matches we wanted to see. This show was supposedly the 4 most requested matches. This was probably the best wrestling special ever on TBS. I liked this more than any of the Clash of Champions. I recorded this show and still have it on a VHS tape...somewhere.
Thank you. Corny failed to mention that
Jim and brian, keep up the great work!!!👍
Nothing better than David Crockett yelling Tony! Tony!
Well, with the six man title, Dusty Rhodes actually paired with the Road Warriors, while Von Raschke teamed with the Koloffs, since Barry Darsow was injured. The Baron is truly one of the nicest guys you could meet.
JIm, Baron Von Raschke was on the Russian side in early 1986. He was the replacement partner for Krusher Khrushev, who suffered a legit knee injury in a match against Sam Houston in TBS studios.
David Crockett chasing Jim Cornette, Corny's facial expression here LOL
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Superstar Billy Graham; "The Superstar is on the super station!"
Hidden Vision That was a great interview. “My fault, his fault, San Andreas Fault!”
“I’m on the cable system...the satellite system...I’m on the laser beam system...
There’s only one Superstar.
Superstar Billy Graham. Often, often imitated but never duplicated! Go back and watch him in MSG. The crowd was ABSOLUTELY electric when he was on the mic!
Wow him speaking of February 2nd 1986 that was the day I became a wrestling fan first match I saw was Santana v Savage for the IC Title. I know that is WWF but when you're brand new you don't know the difference.
It's not mentioned too often but the Baron was a good amateur wrestler and he can really SHOOT,back in the day not to many wrestlers would try him 💪
I am assuming you wouldn't be able to say "whip him like a dog" on TV these days.
David was my favorite announcer grew up with him
He was the WORST. blatantly biased, every babyface was like GOD to him, and they could do whatever they want. But soon as a heel did it he whined like a baby. Seeing him get beatdown twice was great moments in mid-atlantic wrestling t.v. history.
@@leeberry689😂😂😂
TB yes as Jim Cornette used to say
That clip of David Crockett actually sounds like Vince McMahon to me. Weird.
Express vs Express were pure gold.........
Jim Cornette is like a walking encyclopedia of wrestling knowledge
6:27 is what you’re looking for
Currently watching that episode from 1/18/1986!! Takes me back to when I was but a lil dude!
Off topic but back when I was not only stupid but young as well. if you asked the child version of myself what place I would like to see the most. There was a time I would have said "some city called "the Omni" I think it's in the state of Atlanta".
Brian can probably correct me. But after Watts pushed the uwf into the nwa. I don't remember a whole lot of shows coming over here. I would think new Orleans was probably a regular stop but I don't recall too many Tulsa or OKC.
For those too young. I'm sure everybody did this, but as they would be coming back from a commercial. The nwa would announce the dates and locations of the upcoming shows. While there were few Tulsa's announced. Those greedy suns a bitches in the great city of Omni would have at the very least one. Most of the time three or four upcoming shows.
My favorite commentary moment from The Great American Bash-Nikita vs Luger. Little David Crockette was *losing his shit!* His voice was cracking as he screams *"Dead weight in Luger's hands! Dead weight in Luger's hands!"*
CARTOONIVERSE1 That was actually Johnny Weaver.
hristian Boddie- No way dude, I taped it & watched it a thousand times.
CARTOONIVERSE1 I have the tape and the NWA Pro episode it aired on. I will put my life on the line to say that is Johnny Weaver sitting next to Bob Caudle.
@@cbod14 -Not worth betting your life but I'll try to find it today & I'll take a second look(get back to you). Thanks.
@@CARTOONIVERSE1You never came back.
Baron was with the Russians not the Road Warriors
David Crockett and Schiavone kicked ass for tv
Thsi image though LMAO!!!!
HE'S GOT HIM BY THE HONKER!

NWA Wrestling From 80 To 89 Was The BEST Pro-Wrestling Show On Cable TV. I Stopped Watching Due To Being Transferred To England By
The US Air Force. Upon My Return In Late 93 I Couldn't Believe What Happened To The Now Named WCW. Don't Get Me Wrong It Was Still
Better Than The WWF But It Really Changed And NOT For The Good. It Seemed Who EverThe Boss Was Didn't Have A Clue About Pro-Wrestling.
Having Said That It IS Still So Much Better Than The Garbage They Turned Wrestling Into Today. Killing KAYFABE Was The BIGGEST Mistake Ever Made!
Eh kem. Eh kem
Gotta love Jim. The motherfuckers consistent.
Triasha Parker says hi and now Eathan Page played by Julian! Fucking marks made it to the ring
We would be criticizing David Crockett on how “markish” he was
NWA, Mid South, WCW was always called the real wrestling compared to Vince's cartoon
The fiend Ray Wyatt verse Nikita koloff
