Can't believe that. Plenty of space below the existing trunk for a couple of Rawlplugs and some D-line clips or another piece of trunking and that'd have been sound. Is nice when it's a visual shambles though, nice way to spot which bit to quote to pull out and do properly. Pay cheap you pay twice...
It's a shame some pros are willing to do a shoddy job. Ultimately the customer determines the quality of the job based on how much they're willing to pay..

Id have walked and quoted for a re-wire personally. The reason these guys get away with it time and time again is because no one reports them. It's the British way to get shafted and do nothing about it i'm afraid.
Problem is even when you do the regulators don't care either... or dodgy dave's given fake details. If they're not giving out certs for work done then they clearly don't care or aren't certified.
