Stayed in Lindos many times, usually at Greek Easter lovely place, we now stay regularly in Pefkos a few miles south, beautiful island, we have holidayed there for 20 years +, great video which covers the delights of Lindos.
Thank you thank you thank you. I could wander the streets of Lindos forever. If I had the chance! The jasmine. The shops with ancient art replicas. That salad looks wonderful. Good gosh the music and the views at 7:00! I cannot wait for your next video. My absolute favorite thing on Rhodes is riding around the island!
It seems like anyone who has been to Lindos has such great memories of it. I can see why Steve. There's nothing like it 😃We're looking forward to our road trip - Anna

Great video guy's.. there are 4 beaches in Lindos (pronounced Lin doss) the big beach, Pallas beach (the chilled one) and two in St Paul's Bay.. the little beach (where you had lunch) and St Paul's beach (opposite) which is my favourite..
Watching your Rhodes videos since we will be there for two weeks in June. Staying in Lindos for three nights then working our way up the eastern coast and ending in the old town. As always, great video you two! Glad your loving Thailand.
Ahh it was nice to reminisce about Lindos through your video 🙂 The beaches there really are so lovely! It's amazing being able to wade in the sea and then just look up to see the acropolis!
I was there. Beautiful and wondrous. The walk up there was steep. There is a huge relief of an ancient Greek ship carved in the rock upon the acropolis where the massive columns are. Lindos is definitely a must-see. Dod you guys see Thasos? Thanks for sharing this.
@@escapeboss Turkey had conquered the island. And Musolini seized it from Turkey in 1912. During the war(WW2) it was under Italian rule. After the World War it was given back to the Greeks from the allies. If you see all ancient cities they are all Greek!
Have been to Lindos twice with a 15 year gap inbetween, but like you said, Lindos steals your heart and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite places in the world. I learnt to snorkel in St Pauls Bay when I went the first time, and second time around in 2012, I was so pleased to see that despite a few subtle changes, (ie more people visiting) the place itself hadn't changed massively and even certain bars and eateries were still there. One of my favourite things to do was to feed the fishes in the shallows of the beach, little bits of bread. They swim around you and its just lovely. The main Lindos Village (the bit with all the traditional buildings) is a protected site so the only developments and expansion have been in the outer regions at the top of the hill above. It's a beautiful charming place. If you'd stayed there longer, I would have said visit the Gelato shop as it does THE BEST gelato ever! Happy holidays!
Sharon as you know this place is an absolute treasure. We travel a lot and we don't come across places like this very often. We already want to go back 😍- Anna

Nice to see that you like our country so much. Makes me feel warm inside. I know its probably to late (you are already home right?) but if you come again, go to Rethimnon (better then Chania) and Balos and Elafonisi in Crete. And for smaller islands, MILOS (Imo the best island, so diverse, you'll see). If don't come again, just google them so can see what you are missing :-P Have fun.

I fell in love with Lindos way back during the summer of 1976, and to be quite honest, all these years later, I’d be hard pressed to list a nicer seaside village in all the Mediterranean region. Sometimes I can’t decide whether I like Crete more...or Rhodes, they are both fantastic islands and uniquely spectacular. However, IF I had to choose a favourite...it would be Rhodes. Historic Chania (Crete) is truly lovely...but the old medieval character of Rhodes city must take first prize 👍 Plus, Lindos is one of only a few places in Europe where mid-winter daytime temps are consistantly above 16°C...so, it’s a very mild location for off-season travel and as a winter traveller hangout spot....albeit rather quite though, of course. A wonderful, ambient, charming, village...only rivalled perhaps by Symi and Hydra.
Great comment... we've been to Symi but not Hydra. Would love to go there as well. I think we'd also give the edge to Rhodes vs Crete. It has a little more of what we're into. It also feels a little more charming 😃- Trevor
Delightful Travellers Being the most east of the Greek Islands and close to the Asia Minor region...Rhodes stays a bit warmer, drier, and sunny...longer than anywhere else in Greece, including Crete, which is a little further south. Usually Rhodes is decent in November with daytime temps around 21-23°C and still quite a lot of sunny days, IF you want a milder (20°C) winter season on the Mediterranean one has to be in Tel Aviv. It’s the warmest location.
My friend who made a hostel into her home right were they are staying. Actually she worked charging tourist for those chairs and umbrella 🌂 they sitting on. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't go to Lindos in the main tourist season, you will be disappointed . Overcrowded, choked with fumes from cars and coaches....and that was over 35 years ago. Goodness knows what it's like now.
I would love to see you visit skiathos for the most stunning sandy beaches in greece. Tiny island with 60 sandy beaches. All green and forested and try the pelion on mainland. More green than england .Legend has it thats where the Greek Gods go for holidays
@@DelightfulTravellers Pelion is very green, many little waterfalls and picturesque villages and impressive beaches. You' ll love it. It was the mythical estate of Centaurus and the place Jason had grown up before his travels with the Argonauts.
