Great video!!! This is a nice new plan from Century. That price is hurting my feelings. To think that about 6-7 years ago, a house in Tucker GA like this would have gone for about mid 200's with no upgrades. Now the price is over 700k... OMG! We wanted to purchase the plan (the Willow) that ended up being called the Wimbledon (I think) down the line. The house was over 4000 Sq ft. with 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, the main bedroom was upstairs and had an amazing sitting space. There was no bedroom downstairs though you could convert the extra room into a bedroom since there was a full bath downstairs. We looked in Lawrenceville or somewhere in Gwinnett County first and it was 350K with the upgrades. We saw the same plan in another county (further south of Atlanta I think) and it was 100K less. We saw another Wimbledon in Gwinnett County that had all the fixings (finished basement, sunroom, white cabinets in the kitchen, granite counter tops, etc.) The land was not great though you did have a backyard to work with. That house was going for mid 500K (there ended up being a bidding war so I don't know what it sold for eventually) and that was reasonable considering you got all the upgrades with a finished basement. The prices today are ridiculous for new builds and that is why we went with a resale. Being from NY and going to GA for a house, we wanted to get as much bang for our buck as we could. We purchased at the right time too (December 2021) b/c we beat the interest rates going up. Thank the Lord above for that!
There are so many things I did not like. The Island was massive. Wiping that down every day would take 2 people. The seating right beside the sink means that guest with natural hair have to sit somewhere else because the steam from the water blowing back on them could make their hair frizz...even with the deep sink even with the ac on I hope there is a vent over the seating. The pantry area had 2 door that were not gone into what were those areas? The pantry did not need to be that large. The food would literally expire before one had the opportunity to use it. Even if I put a deep freezer in there and jar'd or canned food that is still too much room. The dining room space was not comparable to the space allotted for the kitchen island. It looked as though guest would have to back up into that wall as they get up from the table. The back porch looks like one an apartment would have. The Master bedroom is so close to the kitchen, if you scorched something or fried something even with the air conditioner on and the exhaust fan you would smell it as you slept. It should not be located right next to the kitchen and there is no wall to retain the smell. The Blue bedroom upstairs was the same size as the pantry.
That walk-in closet was everything. I ❤️ it.
