why do you roll on 1 gold or sell garlics to roll when you have no gold left? you're basically about to get a free roll anyways right? Is there a certain lower tier item you want so you value rolling earlier if you're going to sell soon anyways?

This is probably the question i get asked most often out of anything on stream. The answer is it depends, its all contextual. 99% of the time if its past turn 8 the answer is that I'm rolling to use my 1g rolls per turn since after 4 per turn it goes to 2 gold which you should almost never roll on. if its pre turn 8 it means there is something I feel like I have to have (most often and probably the root of the question is whetstone) and sometimes i am also making a play like that due to how the shop rules work with causing lower weightings for items that you've already seen in a given turn so I'm rolling to try and buy it before the next turn (again, often whetstone). There is also the possibility that i'm not paying that much attention in a given moment because 80% of my time playing I spend looking at/reading chat so don't read too much into any given play but usually the answer is either hidden shop rules or getting 4 rolls per turn

@@Time4Miracle Yeah but guy is right - you making a big mistake that way. There is absolutely no compulsion to spend all 4 1g rolls before turn 12-13. Here you were looking mostly for cheese and stam pot which you will have slightly higher chances to obtain in next turn. This is losing value and losing play overall.
I played yesterday Egg and I faced your exact board yesterday like 10 times (you are very influential). They all lose. Why? Because despite having slightly better cheese setup they were ages behind in overall value. Probably because of that forcing item for any cost attitude. You don't play this way unless you really must get sth right now and this wasn't the case. If you weren't lucky with getting orbs on sales and than heroic 2 turns later right off the bat followed by a immediate shield you probably die basically because of that hard rerolling :p
