For $60.... you can't go wrong!
I was looking for side bags to hold extra jackets or to hold whatever I may take off during my ride so backpacks will be a thing of the past.
These are honestly awesome
Put mine on today. Took about an hour and half. Used bigger washers on the inside to support more surface area. Also added a support on the upper front brackets. To much play for me. We’ll see how the work!?!?
That’s great! They are a little flimsy but mine still hold strong.
I got these honestly not bad for the price can't beat it I've had no issues
That’s right
Great video man thanks . Quick question for you it's been 8 months how long did you roll with those cheap bags on? And how did they hold up?
Great video! Thanks for the help!! I got the exact bags. Will install tomorrow.
Glad it helped
I’ve put US saddle bags on my streetbob. Bought it for $160 on Craigslist and had to do some modifications to the bracket and made them work. Paint it and it’ll look nice. Good job
Id like to see them painted and the lenses smoked like your tail light. That would tie it all in
Those bags actually look good on the bike. Maybe if you get a different mount the bags won’t shake. Maybe adding a lower mount like the ones on a bagger
Thanks for the input and support!
Angel, I think so , a horizontal brace tying the two verticals at the bottom would eliminate
any movement, would be an easy fix.
At first I’d didn’t like It too much..but after seeing both mounted they look pretty cool
Thanks man I’ve actually been thinking about taking them off!
I have an 03' Dyna Super Glide and am thinking of changing out my leather bags for the hardshell. These look great on your bike! I like the "airstream" look and the turn signals built in snd the the locking lids.
Questions; how do they ride, shake alot, noisy?
Did you plug the bottom holes and did you weather seal the lids?
I ended up running Viking bags on my dyna if ya want an upgrade later on save up and get a set. Good video man!
Awesome that's the plan. thanks for the support
I'll second the viking bags. They have exceeded expectations.
I've had these bags sitting in my garage for a few months but u convinced me to put them on
Cant find it on Ebay?
Wats the links
@@boonwannaklong6663 Amazon my guy
Somehow there nicer than the saddle bags I spent $100 on! I guess my bags are a little bigger though.
Which ones did you get? I’m about to take these off.
Nice placement! Looks great
Thank you!
They do look good. I may look for some to fit my Harley Davidson Street 500. Thank you for the great content.
Hard Bags look so much more finished imv, I had leather on my Sportster
years ago, they worked well, but I just didn't like the look.
I wish these hard bags were a little bit bigger, height wise, to fill in
that area back there, not just your bike but any bike, I like all filled in or
all open if that makes sense. The gloss black looks great, I don't think I would
bother changing that , it matches other black on the bike.
$60 here in the uk they are $200
Good music, even better video
Thank you!
Good job! Only 60 dollars!!! They look a bit low, 1 or 2 inches upward would look good too
Enjoyed this video! I have the exact set in a box that came with my sportster purchased earlier this year that never were installed. Your video just inspired me. Thanks DadLifeFXD.
Little but of plastic welding to delete the brake lighting...and thats not a bad looking set up.
Does anyone make bags that'll fit a Softail Deuce? I suspect I'm going to have to fabricate my own mounting brackets. There are no exterior bolts on my fender struts.
I'd leave them black to match your side covers. Possibly do some grey round the ridge lines or something
Do you have an install video for the lights
I do not sorry
Awesome stuff. keep up the great work, very professional videos.
Thank you!
I came here 3 yrs later for the thumbnail... lolz...
haha thanks man. its still one of my favorites makes me laugh every time.
They look good. I would leave them as is no need to paint. Cost prohibitive.
Idk if u still have this bike can u show how u hooked up the turn signal
How do you wire/rewire hard bag lights ? I have some like that.
Love it dude! About to make a vid of installing tour pack on mine!
Awesome man thanks for the support
Maybe I missed it, but can you add the link to the bags you installed?
Alright man I serious think I bought the last pair in the world lol! After the video I couldn’t find them anywhere but these look to be a replacement for them but with no light which I think is better! Just search this title in eBay
Vivid Black 22L Hard Saddlebags Saddle bags Trunk Case W/ Latch Key For Harley
If I wanted practical transportation I would be using a car or suv.... I ride purely for the looks...so no luggage...
Haha that does sound better. Thanks for watching.
Looks good, great jobb, thanx for the info
the bottom of bags should be parallel to the ground
Can you mount them without the brackets? So they sit closer to the bike?
This mount actually sits really damn close already but I’m sure anything can be tweaked. Thanks for watching
'Disliked' for commercials in the middle, I let them run at start and
end, but dislike them in the middle, never the same volume, and
you never know when they're going show up unless you're
glued to the screen.
They look good
Thanks! They look great. Function wise there not the best. Still saving for v3 bags
Looks good keep them
Thanks!
I see the link for the bags you almost got . But how about a link for the hard bags you actually installed here ?
I think they look great. I might get these too if they work out for you.
Do you have a link to get these please
I don't sorry there not manufactured anymore.
Looks great these almost look like the clamshell bags
I've never liked fake leather saddlebags covers on my 03' fxdx because wind buffering shape! You'd think H-D make great covers?
I got the same bags from your video and they are decent on my Vulcan. Did you hook up the lights? I am not sure how to do it. Any advice? Does it go to the battery or where do I splice in? Are they running lights and turn signals or just one? Thanks.
That looks gooddddd
Thanks man
DadLifeFXD hi bud. Ive been trying to contact you. I bought these bags on ebay as well just the other day. They are really sleek and nice looking to be cheap! But i wanted to ask you if you wired your bag lights up? I wired mine up on my 2016 dyna street bob, but they dont appear to work as run-brake-turn lights (all 3). Mine only seem to work in 2 different ways....NO tail lights but the brake and turn will work....
OR
tail lights work but NO brake or turn signals.
Ebay didnt really specify if the bag lights were 3 way lights, but it seems that you can only wire them one way or the other. The wires of my dyna are purple-blue-black. The wires off these bags are orange and green. Your thoughts?
3 years later...they looked good...but the flexibility of leather bags, I can put 2 30 paks of Natty in muh saddle bags with bungees and im good for a hundred MPH...
thanks. i still want leather bags there just so expensive lol. thanks for watching
How far apart are those factory drilled holes on the bags brother?
I’ll have to measure when I get home
Wats the name brand? can't find it, looks good.
Your bike is too cool for those bags. Get a sissy bar and hook your backpack to that.
Thanks man I actually just took them off! Looks so much better
I've spent 60 bucks on worse..
Yep me too lol
How many ltrs are these?
Can u make the sport glide bags fit on a street rod
Are these easily detachable?
No there not I’m actually about to take them off I think. Want some leather pros
where's the ebay link ?
Great work. I'm in.
Did you ever wire the lights in?
Looks decent , fuck it if you like it that’s all that matters
That’s right! Got a few miles on them so far still on the fence they look great! Just a little flimsy not sure if my OCD will allow that
DadLifeFXD I feel you I just took of my hard bags My bike is looking slim as hell ahah I had some Vicking pretty dope bags
Don't like them. I have the HD leather saddlebags and love em
Oh yea i've seen some stock leather one that are nice!
I bought VERY similar bags and they didn't last long plastic cracked very quickly. I was not impressed :[
How did you do the wiring from 3 wires from the bike to 2 wires on the saddlebags?
He didn't. Lol.
What sissy bar are you using ? Cheers nice bike
Dig it. Your gunna need another project soon bud lol
👍🏾
Mute the Bud Light Music
50/50 man I just can't get past 2 things 1 60 bucks an 2 I don't like that mounting bracket . An yet that's only my opinion. Not my ride you have to be happy with it not me
Those bags look cheesy and they flip around on the fwy
Lol Thanks I still want some leather pros
I think they are cheap and look like crap throw them away
Haha I’ve really been thinking the same.
