Magical place indeed - one gets the feeling the dolphins actually enjoy being watched by an audience....and put up an extra show...would love to see it again!
Fantastic images Dan and photographing Dolphins can be very difficult as I found out during our cruise of the Mediterranean back in May. Anticipating their breaches is key as I’m sure you found out and I had an advantage over you because I’d have been higher up and was able to see them under the surface before they breached. Well done for challenging the inappropriate behaviour re the parent who wasn’t happy people were having a go at her. I would have done the same and I wish people would accept when they are doing wrong especially when there are numerous people voicing their opinions. Congratulations on obtaining 1,000 subscribers.
Cheers Gary for your continued support it’s really appreciated. Yeah you couldn’t see the dolphins under water at all so predicting the breach was really challenging. I suppose the challenge is the attraction and what leads to the gratification when you get it 👍🏻
We'll done challenging the idiot with the obnoxious kids, someone always trying to spoil it for others. We spent four days on the caravan site along the beach, went every day to watch and were blessed with one fantastic evening observing and photographing these wonderful creatures. Thanks for bringing back such happy memories.
Fantastic video Dan, lovely footage & photos. Been up there once myself and only managed to catch a glimpse of one dolphin... You've inspired me to head back there again soon!
Sensational Dan 👌 I was up in that neck of the woods back in late April 2019. I took a trip out into the estuary on a high powered twin engined inflatable from Cromarty. The skipper was a real gem. Well worth investigating. The Dolphins came close to the vessel and the experience was electrifying. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm as always, all the best. Phil
@@danwillis_photography Dan, I’m not in the same league as you but I put a small upload together of that trip out of Cromarty, if you care to take a look !! my channel goes under the name of smiffywildlife, you maybe pleasantly surprised, perhaps!! I’m just an enthusiastic pensioner of a photographer, but full of enthusiasm like you. I also have a couple of hides I’ve built from which I’ve had, having some great excitement 👌 all the best to you, keep doing what you’re doing so well, giving us, your faithful followers so much pleasure, long may it continue along with further growth of your channel 👍
We go 3 months every year, fantastic place, noticed you was not using a red dot, you get more chance to get more photos, because you get full vision and don't have to look through view finder 👍 by
Thanks Mike, 3 months wow I would love that. I had noticed a couple of people who were using the red dot. Got talking to a guy called Rob English who spends a lot of time there and said the same 👍🏻
Ive been to the point only once it’s way to busy for my liking,i stay in the wee village across the water so I go to fort george across from chanonry and only a few people there awesome place to see the dolphins and yes there is plenty of blank days
I’ve seen people on the beach near the fort when looking for the dolphins through binoculars, I will look at that for future visits. Thanks for your comment 👍🏻
@@seanallan3042 I’ve seen them from the fort before, but don’t seem to come as close in. The point is too busy for me, not a fan of crowds of folk jostling for the best spot 😀
@@BullitTom yeah they do sometimes not as much as chanory yeah I’m the same was over there once and people kept walk in front of camera,I like the fort,do you go down there much
Love it. We were up in that neck of the woods back in March - just along the coast at Cullen when my wife and I enjoyed a weekend workshop with Kim Grant. Didn't see any dolphins but did see loads of seals and got some great shots of the Northern Lights. Definitely going to return to that bit of coast at some point but it is a long way from my home down on the South Coast near Brighton!!! To see the seals - ua-cam.com/video/1uGT_MVthLc/v-deo.html

Thanks Miss Mason, I appreciate it 😊
It’s a bunfight there. I live 40 mins away and have been a good few times, but the crowds put me off, well done for getting some great images.
Thanks for your comment and agree the crowds are a bit off putting
