That amount of water on a wide overshot waterwheel (reaction wheel) that is utilizes the entire head height would produce a lot of power as it uses the weight of the water for a full 180°, these are impulse wheels that are inefficient at converting falling water into power. It is a shame this water resource is not developed properly.
