As bloody amateur I'm definitely out of range and speed. But the challenges and principles of working on those are very interesting and helpful to me. I think I can scale it to my skills and needs. By the way: I'm surprised to see your use of the second valve playing scales. I think I will work on that.
Thank you very much for these videos! I am curious how you are achieving your wonderful vibrato when playing the cimera, are you doing jaw vibrato? Your face seems to be perfectly still while you do it which would makes me wonder if it’s something else. Thanks again for this series!
those lip slurs are so clean, im a college level bass trombonist and having those kind of lip slurs is one of my goals

I’m so glad that you’re approach in it this way-that’s exactly what I hoped people would do.

It is a jaw/lip vibrato, but as you said, very little noticeable change. But it is there, even if it’s very small!
Great man. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Have you ever done videos on warm-up/daily routines?
Not yet! But I know people are interested in that, so perhaps I’ll take a stab at it at some point
Thank you 🙏🏻🎶🎶🎶Happy New Year 2025
Same to you!
