Some people don't understand what is "the art of restoring" you do. Fixing broken things and bringing back to life in that way is amazing. Totally surprised by your playing in a latin american song from Los Andes culture. Very good, great job. Saludos desde Chile.
You are easily the best repair person on UA-cam at the moment; honestly, all the others around compared to your work are rookies - especially US and EU. I checked all of your work and your level is the highest possible. Make more videos please; people need to know what excellent repair work means. Educate the masses :) P.S. and more English plz :P
I have to agree. I love watching twoodfrd because of his meticulous, dedicated repair work, but these repairs here almost up the ante another level-very impressive craftsmanship!
@@Runoratsu I agree too... twoodfrd is really good; actually one of the best in US.... however ogsworks is a different league on his own and so the "twoodfrds" of the world look second tier at the very best.
Like my jaw dropped when I found out a Japanese actually does play a charango which is basically a South American instrument. More vintage Charangos back and sides are made of actual armadillo shells.
Oh, I see, it's a 10 string lute/ guitar of some sort. Still would have been better replacing the whole top and bracing structure. That array of cleats is going to affect the sound quality, in my opinion.
The use of blocks for sanding is so important in anything you sand. You are leaving marks behind, no matter how fine a sand paper you are using. do you want those marks flat and even?? or in finger sized marks>
Should we question "Why" this damage occurred in the first place,.... If this happened because the owner massively over-tuned the instrument,... does this suggest there's some tuition required?
Is this a classical guitar ? Why not play a Bach piece of music instead of this obnoxious hip hop crap. Better yet, don't play any music. And as an aside, why not replace the whole top with a quality piece of wood instead of cobbling together a cracked and splintered sound board held together with glue and visible seams. Maybe this gent could pull it off well enough, but since he replaced a brace anyway, build a new top with good quality bracing. Just my take on the whole matter. Thanks anyway. Bob
I was surprised by how small the instrument is. The camera angles used during the repair made it seem like a full sized guitar.
I am from Perú, thank for repairing a charango, a beautiful instrument. Congratulation for your work.
Beautiful job! I have a broken charango and at least I have somewhere to begin fixing but I would never get close to a job like you. Very nice!
Amazing work! It's so nice to see a native instrument from my country appear in one of your videos. Greetings from Bolivia :)

Great job except for not replacing the broken bridge! But hey it sounds good.
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho
Good job.
Thank you!
Nice work and playing :-)
Thank you : )
Since the cracks are still visuable I would just drill a small hole through it and use fishingline to pull the small support pieces you put inside.
Very good 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
Amazing!
Thank you♪
MARAVILLOSO!!!
Why are you wearing those black plastic gloves all the time, except when working with lacquer? :-)

That thing is not nearly as big as I thought it was
A total surprise when he started playing. I was thinking guitar all the way up until then. A good job and video.
This video consists of close ups and tracking shots, I have no idea what is happening at any moment:(
I watched this on August 18th. There are 30 thumbs down 👎. What is there to dislike watching a master craftsman like this?
Annoying music is distracting....
Divine Craftsmanship !
Thank you!
You forgot to re- glue the piece that you cut off .
Wow
It is different as plastic surgery.

Naw, I lasted about 1 minute due to the horrible backing music.
Please no music
angry or jealous girlfriends smash and burn guitars.
The soundtrack makes this unwatchable
