Fence Post Repair

  • Recording Date - January 12 and 13, 2023
    I try repairing a fence post using a 36 inch steel stake I got from Home Depot. It didn't work out, so the next day I used a Simpson E-Z Mender. I only repair one post. After the repair the fence seems to be a little better, but not by much.

    You should use better screws with a flat underside. Think a structural screw. Either way in this circumstance it doesn't seem to have worked out on this post and you may have to re-concrete the post.

    How does stake go through concrete

      I'm not even sure if there's concrete. Even if there's concrete it shouldn't be a problem because the stake is side by side with the post, so it's going between the post and concrete.
