THE DRIFTER!! haha man that first 3 mins had me rollin brother lmbo!!! Good sense of humor ya have!! Lol, anyhoo, great job on that tree....❤be safe up, and out there and we will see ya on the next one!! LOVE WINS!! 😊😊love from the Barth residence 💪💪🪓🪵🌳☝️🙏🙌
💯 %...you have verified what I always do. Stubs are confidence building. I love having my 2 in 1 up over. Lol...arborist jingle boys, bells and skinny jeans...no disrespect...but it is hilarious what they repeat, and strive to find a hundred new ways to get up a tree. 68 years old and still climbing.
Yessss,,, you want stub outs,,, foot holds, and Anti Slip protection in smaller trees... unlike Palm trees, slid on a few of those. Keep up videos Buckin!!! Love learning from you. #
Aaah yes... the hand saw and stubs 👍 Before i got a few good ropes and a chainsaw up there i learned to climb up and down on the stubs i left. 👍 My forarms wood be shredded and bleeding from bark rash because i didn't have a belt with a strap, all arms. Very dangerous and wrong, but before i started watching the BBR channel... didn't know no better. The laugh when you reached the top of the busted tree was classic 17 yr old boy voice...i know because i was once one...😂💪✌️🪚 Only when i was ready to chunk down, wood pull the 025 Stihl up with a rope, wrap rope around my waist for safety tie in... super dangerous and unsafe, have learned better safely, more better ☠️⚡🌬️🌎
Respect 🫡 Worked in the woods as a boy my dad was a logger so ran a saw at 13 years old. Ran pole skidded and packer back. You’re amazing man. Was always told that it’s a picker pole now. No way I would climb a tree but it’s so cool to watch man.

Good work my friend! I have a question/request for you if you have a lot of bucking to do over the next few months. Could you go over "reading" the tension/compression of logs on the ground when you are bucking? I totally get the concepts, but I find myself ( occasionally ) still getting pinched in small wood as I go along bucking, usually due to shifts in the log as things settle. I know its probably second nature to you by now, and it is getting that way for me too, but it sure would be awesome to hear how you read and interpret where your pinch areas move to as you untangle and buck up trees. I hope that makes sense to you! Other than that, hope you are doing well! Much love from Northern Alberta!
I have always enjoyed cutting firewood for myself!! I definitely could not do what you do!! Keep the videos coming they are definitely worth watching!!
As a arborist apprentice, they taught us to make stubs to step on but when we came back from that limb we cut them , all the arborist I know say ISA is just a money grab
THE REASON why "leave no stubs behind" is so when you do rig, nothing catches on the way down.. its a pain in the arse when you have to keep climbing down to get those rigs unstuck and then back up again..
...drifting a manual duelie diesel flatbed F-350 dump body with a Fisher plow and a loaded sander down the mountain at 0400 in a zero / zero whiteout blizzard with a blown out brake line and no defrost.
I love learning all this new stuff! I just got my hands on climbing gear and have been loving it. I’m curious how to tie that system you’ve got on your belt. It looks like a taut line hitch so you can slide it as the tree gets smaller. I’m super stoked to hear about your business advice 😃 i hope to learn lots
I used to drive my dad mad leaving stubs when trimming out hedge wood, my theory was you can lift quite a bit of wieght with one hand when loading out, hand hold size stubs were the key...
Doesn't leaving a few branches up top help with the sway too? I don't know being that I'm a power lineman not a tree guy. Nothing worse than working a heavy leaning pole all day though. It's a fight! Until 10 years ago, we all free climbed. Hands and hooks until you got to your work. Then belt off. Good knowledge as usual Buckin!
Buckin’… I came to learn about felling trees….. but I keep returning for the positive message & vibes! Love ya!! Thank you!

Thanks for the reply buckin means a lot. Have a cracking day fella
I leave stubs when they make the situation easier either due to having a step or hand hold…and because I’m 59 and need them lol.
Love the energy Billy
Let the tree help you take it out I could not agree more I feel the exact same way it's so true in many different situations

Love the Drifter, and ya know, there is a time and a place for stubs, and this here was that there.
Thank you Buckin for sharing your knowledge with us. I love stubbs, they work nice as a handle as well when chunking out. Love ya brother. 🌲♥️🌲👊🪓

Stubs are nice in a leaning tree for support I’m no climber but I see that lol

Did I hear somewhere you had a 1967 Chevelle or maybe Wendy did? 67 Chevelle SS was my first car. Was thinking about the drifter 😂
@0:04 ... golf
Well, actually there's not much difference whether I play golf or chop wood... it all kinda looks the same! 🤔😳😬😵💫😵💫🙈
😝😝😝
Hi, I 've heard you talking about it and have seen you using it but can you show a picture of the hook you're hanging your climbing saw on?
Thanks.
Would it be wrong to learn to climb and fell trees just to be able to better myself?
Hard to beat that lil 2511T.. I’m sure the Rip Saw version is killer.
OH YES IT IS
Always learning from you 👍🏻 be careful to yourself
Is that the Echo CS 2511 T you are using? It sounds amazing and sure has some power 👍🏻
what saw are you using to limb with? is it ported?
Do they have stand up and buck hoodies ?

Buckin in your older years has climbing become taxing on your body? No way I could stand on picks longer than an hour.
An hour should be plenty 😂
