My personal thoughts, these are toys for the super rich. Not for the average person who considers many things before buying a vehicle for transportation and travelling. Affordability, practicality, feasibility, dependability, serviceability and longevity are things that are most thought of by the common man before buying such things. Unless and until technology provides cheap affordable products and things which can be easily bought by a common man, these companies are just using gimmicks and tactics trying new ways to entice the rich to spend their money. Not to mention such products will keep on popping everyday in the name of upgrades, newer designs and what not. As far as rich people who actually buy these products, I have personally seen many such gadgets that just lie around somewhere after being used for a few months. Very crude statement, but its like an orgasm for the rich. Once it fades away, they want something new to get excited and spend again.
I mean, I'd consider a Solo. It's definitely ugly, but if you're anti-social nobody is going to be able to bug you to give them a lift home. It would be interesting to see someone relatively tall get into it - and what the performance it has in the snow and ice.

I've seen ebike videos that feature electric bicycles that can go from 75 to 150 miles on a single charge, but they just happen to be long range batteries and efficient motors that are mounted in incredibly expensive bikes. One of these days, some smart cookie capitalist minded guy is going to put a high range battery and an efficient electric motor on an ordinary bicycle that ordinary people can afford. The electronic technology already exists, and cheap bicycles already exist. On the day that some smart cookie decides to fill the gap between a bicycle and a rich boy's toy ebike, when long range affordable ebikes become available to the masses, ebikes are going to take off like a rocket and the smart cookie is going to become very rich.

The transportation industry IS going electric, there's no doubt at this point, VW just announced that they will not be designing any new ice engines for their cars and so many automakers are following suit, so considering that's the way things are going, and they are, we need to address the issue of battery recycling. Besides, think about balancing the equation, there's a lot less fuel being spent when you leave your car at home and take an ebike, it's the greener alternative, and our landfills are already filled with crap, the powers that be have to work on it. No matter what form of transportation we choose, there's going to be some sort of environmental fallout. Even if you just walk, it takes resources to make walking shoes if you want to get technical, so the big boys have to take everything into consideration and create practical solutions to our current and future problems.
Finally, the walkcar is here, I remember this in a video from either these guys or mindseye design, it was back in prototype/concept stage then and I remember liking it, $2000, yikes

That also predicted personal flying vehicles and we’re still waiting. Even when technology allows it some day, it’s just not viable. I hope you find the morons willing to spend that kind of money on a JETSKI powered baby boat. Seems the target demographic for these "incredible vehicles" are millionaire- billionaires. And the vehicles are not incredible at all. The sky runner is probably the best, however if you know anything about parachutes... you'll realize the design flaw immediately. It's a quad with a propeller on the back and a parachute on top for $230,000? LOL. You can build an airplane for under 100K.....
No vehicle is "emission free". The electricity required to charge these vehicles requires fossil fuels or nuclear power, and, until the cost for them gets below that of a good used car, people just won't/can't afford them.
