The 80s not only spawned a great array of fantastic tv shows but also the themes themselves were worthy enough and they had awesome soundtrack albums to go with them featuring kickass tracks like this one.
I love all of the songs on the soundtrack, but this one's probably my favorite. I want to know what they did in the intro. *CRASH* (some kind of synth cymbal??) *CLICK-CLICK...CLICK-CLICK* (hats with fx??) *CRASH* (the synth cymbal again??) I've been curious about this since I first heard this song. Also, v I do not know why this get my attention, and why I like it. (and why I'm even mentioning this here) But (And you have to listen *very* carefully to hear what I'm talking about) I like how the strings during the first two choruses only play one note. But, after the transposition at 3:16, you hear the strings playing two notes.
The crash sounds natural to me. Probably was sampled from a live source (it was the 80s). Willing to bet the percussion in the intro are sampled sources too. DX7 sounds... especially the bass. Gate reverb on snare.
I loved this song since I was 11 years old
