Though I believe the ref was warning him that those were dangerously close to a thigh strike of some kind to the head of a downed opponent, which would count as a “kick” using the legs, to a downed opponent, which is absolutely illegal

If UFC didnt copyright every damn thing there would be alot of good compilation videos on youtube like these, the way there is of the NBA compilations.
They do it for that reason. It's hard to even download highlights nowadays. Tbf tho they're well in the right to do it
Well every damn thing here were broadcasted for money, people can't just take it. I'm a digital artist and in design we have a thing called manipulation, or composition design kinda thing. Basically if you edit and manipulate a copyrighted image enough, it's no longer the original and you can use it. Same thing with music production and using samples. So that's why a lot of highlights only survived copyright strike because they were distorted, mirrored, or edited enough to avoid that.
Edit: one more thing, don't monetize something you don't own.
@@KannyNguyen Yes I am aware of this. I heard a story of game developer using concept art for his game that he created but wasn't allowed to use it because the other artist distorted it enough to be their own work.
