I think Sylux could be either Ian Malkovich or Solomon Aran, who was briefly mentioned in the manga I think, and ironically the two characters I just displayed are brother characters but who know, it could be a completely new character like you said at the end.
Oh god, this theory made me think something huge. Metroid Prime 4 is going to JUMPSTART Metroid 2 Samus Returns, by Sylux taking that metroid, and that metroid growing up to become the QUEEN METROID, what's worse: this threat is realized by the Federation, be it by Sylux declaring war, and outright saying it, or by a 'accidental' slip by him, that the Federation would find out, and send samus to stop it.
I hope they never reveal who Sylux is. The mystery is more interesting than any reveal. But some more light could be shed on the top secret program that resulted in his armor and ship. That would be a cool piece of lore. It is an interesting theory. It is doubtful that Sakamoto ever planned to tie into Prime's lore with Other M, but if we make the assumption that Ian survived and formed a grudge against the federation, some elements of Sylux's character do line up.
The whole sylux is Ian thing makes absolutely no sense. And would create massive inconsistencies in the story if were true. Prime 4 will take place before other m. And Samus says specifically that she hasn't seen Adam or anyone from her old platoon since she left the federation. So if Ian was sylux she'd have made that discovery long before she met up with Adam again. You'd think she'd be like "hey so did you know Ian lived and is uh evil now?" That's a pretty big thing to not mention.
actuly i tink chu'r 3rd theroy ish rwyz good and it would fit in if it wasin't for the fact tat tey have somwat stated tat sylux ish or might be samus's brother
I saw a different video with the exact same theory, and being the huge Sylux fan I am(as a quick Google search for Sylux will turn up my name on the first two pages), will gladly repost the comment I had there. There are two flaws(one of which is a significant one) that paint the theory into a corner. One, as of present, between every Prime and non-Prime game the characters not named Samus have never been crossed over, i.e Admiral Dane never appears in Fusion/OM and Adam never shows up in Prime 1-3 and Federation Force, when realistically they weren't dead at those points in time and no current hand waves exist to justify their absence. Two, this being the lesser one, Ian being Sylux would require an OM retcon, because unless Sylux were to do something noble and turn good in this hypothetical game(doubtful), there is no way Adam and Samus would view him favorably as they do when reminiscing about his "death". Then again, OM as is remains a clusterfuck when trying to connect it to the rest of the series so a retcon wouldn't surprise me. But I like this theory anyway since it has solid backing.
I really like this theory but i have a major issue with this Sylux guy. I'm quite sure that Sylux died in Metroid prime hunters which is in between Prime and Prime 2 in the timeline if I remember well. Does someone has a clue about this ?
I like to think it is Old Bird of the Chozo, because the technology Sylux uses is very similar to Chozo technology and Samus's Power Suit! But why would he be trying to kill Samus you may ask... Maybe he could have been kidnapped by Space Pirates and brain washed to use Chozo technology against Samus and the Galactic Federation because don't forget that Old Bird is mysteriously missing with out trace according to the Metroid Manga. That may also be the reason why he never told the Federation of the Metroids true purpose!
ChickyChi Sylux's technology is stolen from the federation. the federation technology stolen was most likely an attempt to re-create Samus's chozo technology.
There's a couple problem with your theory, one technically other M is not a part of the prime series. And even if you do include other M according to the timeline scale. The ' deleter' (worst name ever) Considering this is supposed to take place before fusion and fusion is supposed to be at the end of the timeline scale. Everything else that you make some sense! Especially considering at the end he is traveling through a federation fortress, went on down so many security codes so having a dead character going through this makes sense because either their codes have been transferred to somebody else or they are still kept in the computers is of their older models. (Most likely transferred to somebody else because you only delete codes if the person was compromised, not if someone is dead. Some dog tag commission codes are actually reused. It's not too surprising. Why.]
While Other M isn't part of the Prime series all Metroid games (except for Prime Pinball) exist in the same timeline, plus Samus's flashback is before the first Metroid game so Sylux wouldn't be around yet. The only reason why I mentioned the Deleter is just in case someone suggested that he might have been Sylux since his identity is unknown (although I'm 100% certain it's James Pierce)
Metroid is a series that i'm surprised doesn't have more theory videos. the TV Tropes page has a ton that could be used.
You were inspired by making a joke that Adam was Sylux too?😂
*sigh i am dissapointed. I was expecting a different theory from your's
The Metroid Trainer hi! When will you stream next?
Also originating from a non-Earth planet doesn't make him inhuman. The Metroid games clearly show humans colonizing other worlds
dude, the metroid trainer came up with the same conclusion, i think it's safe to say that the theory is true.
Pat Lee Sylux is Samus brother
The deleter might be Sylux. Look on his helmet. There is a "07" and his ship of the Delano 7.
Tsunami 67 yeah but he is dead
What are the chances of this theory coming out just 27 days after *The Metroid Trainer* released the exact same theory with the exact same points...?
Superstupidy Bro, I was thinking the same thing! Dislike for ripping him off, lol.
Superstupidy the Metroid trainer also commented.

That moment when you realize that you've been saying Sylux's name wrong ;-; (I say "Sy-lex" instead of "Sy-Lux")
Oh god, this theory made me think something huge.

ironically, weavel has five fingers as well and has human proportions
Feelz_4_Dayz but in the intro in metroid prime hunters, weavel is a cybernetic space pirate.
Feelz_4_Dayz And he's a space pirate
Weavel may be the first Human Space Pirate.
I hope they never reveal who Sylux is. The mystery is more interesting than any reveal.

I mean... Soloman Aran exists...
thank you! literally nobody knows about him! I hope to god he's sylux I don't want any other M in my metroid
Purple Turtle Studios I've been saying this too, everyone seems to forget samus has a brother
killa123214 not so much forget as just don't know. soloman was only mentioned once and he may or may not be canon
Sylux is Samus’s brother
Hmm, maybe I might look into metroid lore. Look into Samus's backstory as well.
actuly i tink chu'r 3rd theroy ish rwyz good and it would fit in if it wasin't for the fact tat tey have somwat stated tat sylux ish or might be samus's brother

metroidtainer also came to that conclusion.
I honestly hope it's Soloman.
Anthony Higgs or Adam Malcovich
Not so crazy theory...
If Other M is canon Prime isnt and vice versa...
Rikz PT Well we all know which should and shouldn't be canon
Rikz PT or the timeline is wrong and the Prime games are after Other M. This would prevent the issues.
Prime was never confirmed to be uncanon, so till we get confirmation, it's canon.
Not true, Other M even without Prime is still hard to justify canon due to lots of inconsistencies in the story.
I personally don't think that Sylux is Ian or even Soloman
and who do I think Sylux is, think about it...
if sylux was skilled enough to steal High Class Galactic Federation technology
he would have to be human right?
I have came to the conclusion in my opinion that Sylux...
Is a corrupted version of the computer player robots that you see in Metroid Federation Force Blast ball
I really like this theory but i have a major issue with this Sylux guy. I'm quite sure that Sylux died in Metroid prime hunters which is in between Prime and Prime 2 in the timeline if I remember well. Does someone has a clue about this ?
TheodoreEustache sylux didn't die in hunters, he makes it out alive with the other hunters with the proper ending
Thanks !
oh my god... so the random people shipping sylux, and samus for NO REASON actually makes sense?! WHAT THE HELL?!
That's no that crazy... I have that theory too since Other M was realesed.
I also heard a theory that Sylux is really Samus's long-lost brother.
I like to think it is Old Bird of the Chozo, because the technology Sylux uses is very similar to Chozo technology and Samus's Power Suit! But why would he be trying to kill Samus you may ask... seanfulldark yo don't ruin it god stop with the comments about flaws it irritates every1
TheMetalBlade5 the deleter is actually confirmed to be James Pierce.
