Divide the equation by cos 3x
3( cos3x/cos3x + sin 3x/cos3x) = 0/cos3x
Now, sin3x/cos 3x= tan 3x
sin3x/sin3x =1
And 0/ sin3x = 0
Put the values
3(tan3x + 1) = 0
Transfer 3 to the other side
0/ 3 = 0
So,
tan 3x +1 = 0
So,
tan 3x = -1
