Downsizing is great but I think a good alternative for the collections you are on the fence about is to just "retire" them for now and revisit in the future when you have more time/money. That way you aren't overcommitting to either collecting or downsizing!

It’s probably really time consuming to sell or trade everything at once, so maybe you could start with the collections you feel most sure about downsizing while pausing the ones you’re still uncertain about for now? I had to move my NCT 127 collection into one of those 12 pocket binders because you can do spreads of 8 in the rows. I know you were thinking of getting one of those for aespa, so just thought I’d mention it in case you decide to keep everything.
I think this is what I'm going to do! I'll most likely downsize what I feel sure about letting go of and then for groups I'm not sure about (nct...) I'll probably play around with my binders and see how I feel before I sell/trade anything. And the spreads of 8 for nct 127 is definitely a good idea, I like that a lot!

I feel like a lot of people are scaling back their collections these days and while it can be sad, I know for me when I start to give away/sell things I’m not attached to anymore, it brings a huge weight off my shoulders! I am also in a similar position, I was an OT9 127 collector but after everything that happened, I am debating what to do with the cards that I have because I don’t feel very happy continuing to collect the group in full. Do I keep some members or save a set per era? It’s hard to think about and I’m curious to see what you’ll do. 🥲
