I stopped in Dublin on my way to Iraq back in 2004. Didn't get to explore but I plan to return someday to visit. All the locals I met at the airport where friendly.
Dude I was really surprised how friendly everyone was. Reminded me of the American South. I'd definitely recommend a visit if it's in the cards, because it was interesting but very easy to adjust to.
@@CampingwithSamBananas I was really shocked how supportive folks where towards American troops in Ireland. I really hope to visit in the future . One of the few good days I had while deployed that year.

looks like you stayed in muckross hotel ,my favourite hotel in killarney ,have stayed there a number of times ,i recognise the spa baths.
