Mr. Hooper reminds me so much of myself personality wise. If I saw someone who was even just an acquaintance homeless or something happened to them or their house I’d invite them to my house!

I LOVE seeing old clips with the late great Mr. Hooper(the late great Will Lee). In my book, "Sesame Street Unpaved", Mr. Hooper is referred to as the "Grandfather of the Street". He was Sesame Street's patriarch. This clip of him helping someone in need by giving him a place to stay showed why we all loved Mr. Harold Hooper and why we all mourned his passing on U.S. Thanksgiving in '83. Great to see his apartment. I also thought Mr. Hooper's Jewish background was revealed on "Christmas Eve On Sesame Street" when Bob wished him a "Happy Hanukkah".
Such a wonderful gentleman as well as his portrayer, Will Lee.

That’s funny! Harold and Haroldo. Haroldo must be Harold in Spanish!

I’ve had tizimmes before. Very sweet and good 😊. The chicken broth needs a matzoh ball . Jewish comfort food.

Is this where we first discover mr. Hooper real name? I thought it was the one where he graduates from college

A rather immodest message on Mr. Hooper's apron, don't you think?

I'd like a triple deluxe cheeseburger, with a pickle, extra mayonnaise, and a thick chocolate malt please, Mr. Hooper? With a cherry on top?

Was that the first time there are no muppets in an episode of Sesame Street?

No, I believe there were others prior. But not too often
