Can you see that MOST (if not all) are german cars and mostly the ones over 50-60.000 € ? Good luck selling those MONEY PITS.They are WAAAAAAY TOO OVERPRICED.
German cars,just like manny more firms (american are 10 times worse) are OVER PRICED.They don't built them by hand so you have hundreds of hours into it.They are normal cars with different shaped and a bit (more) larger engine than normal,so why the exagerated price ? A C or S class are 35.000 and up ... FOR WHAT ? Badge ? I don't buy a name or a history in wich they USED TO make good cars,i buy today's one so why should i have to pay for the damn badge ?
I know this an old post of yours but... if you have not tasted the German quality then you better not talk about them, yes I would agree some ranges are overpriced others are perfectly priced but I guarantee when you compare them to their rivals from the Japanese and American markets you will see why.
drive a BMW then go back and drive a Toyota of the same class of car of that BMW that you tested and lets see what you say about them. For example BMW 3 series and Toyota camry or even better Lexus IS.
I will give you my experience, my dad had a Lexus GS 300 2001 model and my brother bought a used bmw e46 330ci in 2004, yes maybe the Lexus drives more like a luxury car but its a GS model and it should be sporty but that e46 was night and day difference in driving enjoyment.
