I think it's to do with timing, you have to get used to his pattern and get good at masterstrokes, after that it's not too bad but you can't really be too aggressive unless he's stunned on out of breath, but yeah 9/10 he'll block any combo.
Your just bad tbh but the trick Is if you have a lot of armour let him hit you and when he goes for the second hit masterstroke. Or you can back up from him until he runs towards you and you can masterstroke. Some hits you just can not parry but if you do these then you can 100% of the time. Even when Henry has not even got basic training you can beat Bernard easy or any opponents easily hope this helped..

I beat him while on 10% blood and with a big head bleed you are not good but you chose to take it as an insult which isn't my problem and I could have easily beat Bernard quicker than you when I started.
