TWO IN ONE DAY. WE DON’T DESERVE THIS BLESSEDNESS.
i haven’t ever seen theater Jordin i only know disney version but damnnnn SHE CAN SING
me neither! i love her voice so much 😭
And I just know her for being Idol Jordin but clearly has gone onto much bigger things which is great.
stan jasmine cephas jones for clear skin and stream her ep ✨
I'm so happy Jordin Sparks found her place on the stage. Her talent was wasted right after American Idol
Not exactly. She had a successful recording and acting career releasing five albums, earning a Grammy nomination, hosting a baking show, and working with her idol Whitney Houston in Sparkle. And who knows? Maybe she gave up fame.
Right before Xmas? The gift that keeps on giving
Jordin Sparks just 🥰🥰
God bless Aisha Jackson. I went to the same university as her in Colorado. She played Reno Sweeney, and stomped my heart OUT as Sarah in Ragtime.
I always wondered what happened to Jordin Sparks. Glad to see she’s doing well.
Never underestimate the POWER of a black soul singer
7:13 i am also shocked..... i thought she is going to go in her head voice ..hahahaha nice!!
Love that you included a clip of Pear Bailey WITH Carol Channing, knowing that Carol was also black! Love it!
The wig snatch at 4:47 made me cackle!!!
Hello!! The legend is back😌
they're back! something you could do, "who sang the pity the child high notes best" its one of the hardest tenor songs on broadway, and its got some fantastic names like colm wilkinson, raul esparza (its hidden in another bootleg of the kennedy center show), adam pascal, and theres a russian cover from recently that was a SLAUGHTER of everything that came before it.
i would die for patina miller
Yay!!! YOU’RE BACK! I missed you :,)
(Btw ima need some Amber Gray, Jewelle Blackman, and André de Shields appreciation next time [aka half the cast of Hadestown])
I just noticed Hailey Kilgore and Cynthia Erivo were featured but not Lachanze 🤯
I gotta say I love these videos. Here are more suggestions if the series is continued: Nikki Renee Daniels, Merle Dandridge, Tonya Pinkins, Adrienne Warren, Philip Boykin
Andre Dé Shields and Amber Grey too
Out of topic but I kinda like to have Gypsy with Black cast
Comparing Jordin Sparks then versus now is crazy. She’s gotten even better, like damn.
DENÉE BENTON ❣️❣️
1:50 cracked me up!!!!! Love Whitney
Brandon in that silver outfit? He can get it.
I love BVD! He's so under-appreciated!

STEPHANIE MILLS!!!
Yas Pearl Bailey!!! 🙌🏼
Perhaps you could do a video that highlights other ethnicities that are possibly even more under-represented on the the stage sometime? I'm sure there's plenty of people that I should have heard of that you would introduce me to! Like Latin-American singers, or Asian singers?
Will try!
Can someone please tell me what these musicals are 👀👀 ya girl is just starting to get into Musical Theater
Can't name all of them but there was Frozen, Aladdin, Sister Act, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mean Girls, Les Miserables, The Wiz, The Lion King, Hamilton, Rent, Waitress, Hercules, The Princess and the Frog. Hope this helps a little bit!
@@jellytotsjamie Ah, thank you so much!
I didn’t know who Anna Uzele was before this video, but I do now. Let me go do my homework.
She's INCREDIBLE! I've been following her work since she was in college, and she's only gotten better

100th comment
The idea of making this only people of a certain color is unusually racist. Also, what’s the point?
It isn’t, it’s to show black excellence or black representation on Broadway as minorities are still underrepresented in amounts of casting on broadway although we have still seen a rise of more diverse casting we still have a long way to go. Not to mention all the racism in America anyways, all I can say for you is to enjoy the video
theatre leads are disproportionately white and when people of color or even just black are genuinely talented, they’re not given their attention in the spotlight like their white peers.
Jordan Sparks has never been praised for her “She Used To Be Mine” climax like the countless white people who sang it despite the fact she’s sang it just as well if not better. The wonderful woman who sang the Frozen song in this video was incredible and so much better than the movie, but many of us will never know her name as well as Bernadette Peters or Patti LuPone.
The fact U think this is remotely racist is so hilarious. Fun fact : POC Actors and Actresses are heavily discriminated against. For example Brittney Johnson is the first black Glinda but she was a standby because they thought White Actresses can display Glinda better because Kristen was White. U better think before typing because ur whole statement was very dumb
Wow... the privilege behind this comment. SMH
@@Starisborne when I hear the term black excellence it reminds of white power. Both are divisive and racist. Yes you should have pride in who you are like everyone should but creating phrases for the color of your skin is backwards and doesn’t bring anyone together.
we missed you, golightly!
