@Darena Dorsey That's great. Glad it helped. its easy to get around once you knew how. but only going there one time on a cruise it can be hard to figure out the way to get some where. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for the tip for easy cheap pubic bus to the beach. Our friends paid $140 each for a cruise package that gave them transportation, lunch, WIFI and a chair to the same beach. My understanding is Grand Cayman beaches are all public so if you have a towel or and place it on the sand, you should be good. However, if you were to sit on a private chair set up by one of the resort, they may ask you to leave. Cheer!

@E Williams Advanyages .... well for me it's a bit cheaper. Especially if there might be a few of you. In Grand Cayman the buses run very frequently, so mo worries catching one back and forward. You get a little more of the local culture when you catch the bus. Hmmm. For me, my dad was a bus driver most of his life so I grew up catching them.
@E Williams It might be easier to get off and get a cab if your groups undecided what to do. It's not any quicker getting there though. As it's the same roads back and forth.
@@VirginiaFruitGrower It was sunny and very hot! I followed what the video said, and nearly all the spots were the same. Only thing that really changed I noticed was that the bicycle rental shop is now Tortuga, a liquor store. 😂 This video really helped me! I want to add that the bus ride was $2.50 USD for me to get back! The driver gave me two coins back in Cayman currency since I gave her $3. Don’t know if this price changed for anyone but mine was this price.
@@kt1122 yes we went to the little bus stop across the street and immediately caught a bus back to the bus station for $2.50. Then you basically walk 2 minutes to the port entrance to the boat tender. Easy peasy. Were you on the Sunrise?
The Water Shittles run about every 10 or 15 minutes. Sometimes even faster if they fill up quicker. It's a very short 5 to 7 minute ride from the ship to pier.
Great job thank you. I assume you just paid the bus driver himself. Do you pay before you get on? Where there public restrooms at Public Beach? Did the chairs cost to rent?
I can answer my own question since I went there. You pay the bus driver when you get to your stop. I don't know about Public Beach, we went to Cemetery Beach. It was nice. No restrooms or chairs though.
@@ILikeCruiseShips Probably an exaggeration on the thefts, but I do know they're cheap and never buy much. I think the cruise lines own most of them anyways.

Thanks for the great video! How much time did it take to walk from the port to the bus? Also, does anybody know what the taxi drivers charge for the ride from the port to the beach?
Once you're off the tender boats, its less then 10 minutes' walk. the key is to not get distracted by the many small shops right there and head straight out and cross the street in the direction of the bus station. So, you can maximize your time at the beach. Russell.

The moms will undoubtedly need the basics, like a bathroom, and expect wife and sis will want drinks! Lol Any insight you can provide (in ridiculously short time) would be greatly appreciated. TIA
I would highly recommend they take a taxi (there usually mini buses or Toyota minivans) to the beach, they can get them right by the pier where they ill get off the tenders (the boats that bring them too and from the ship at anchor) plus they can arrange for them to get back to the pier as well later in the day. get them to double and triple check the back onboard time for the ship. don't use their phones for time keeping, as it might have changed if there is time zone changes.
