I love how this turned out! Thanks for the tip about peeling off the masking while the paint is still wet, I didn't know about that. My heart melted when your daughter walked into the room and you guys shared that moment and hug. My daughter is only 2 months old and I've already started making things for her. There's something to say about that daddy daughter bond. Great video Bob.
Funny, I commented on the last R2-D2 build about peeling the tape when the paint is dry to avoid the fairly bad tearing he had to fix by hand, nice to see he noticed.
Dude someone is cutting onions in here, there's no way i filled up with tears. The look on your daughters face when she seen it was amazing. I went back and watched that part again and the look on your face as she seen it was equally amazing. Just a doting father watching his kid enjoy the experience. Top job dude, top job
You work hard and with the heart. Time and dedication on all cuts, glue and painting. But the reaction of your 😇 daughter and her hug is immense. Blessings.
one can build so many things in his lifetime, but making your children smile and hug you is probably one of the most precious experiences one can have.
A lot of us get into making things for selfish reasons; to make cool stuff for ourselves... but it's when we make stuff for our loved ones that we really shine! This was an excellent video Bob, only made better by showing your daughter's reaction to the sign (I'm not crying... they're allergies!!). Congratulations on the sponsor, I can only begin to imagine what having Marvel sponsor your content truly means to you.
14:38 Every time I hang something on the wall...even using a stud finder. ha ha. Her smile at the end and that moment you two had makes it totally worth it. Very touching! Great project, Bob!
Hey guys! I just wanted to say that I appreciate your small text edits on screen (like at 4:41) since they save you tedious re-shooting and it makes your videos seem more casual and less like something only "professionals" can attempt. I've made several small projects adapted off ideas from your videos and enjoy seeing the things you come up with.
Another medium you could as transfer tape is scotch(cello) tape. Just take some of the sticky off on your trousers or you can also use use clear plastic (for covering books) adhesive . I've heard you can get it at the dollar tree) also take off some of the sticky this before use. You can reuse the same piece over and over. These two materials make it a bit easier to see the letters. Love this idea bob.
I LOVE THIS!!! Great project. Very touching as well. Great movie. Our family loves all the Avengers movies as well. I really enjoyed the build too. It's such an amazing sign that looks really hard to make. Thank you for breaking it down into smaller more easily attainable steps. Again... I LOVE IT!! Great tip on sealing the mdf as well.
Would you be able to update the supplies list on the kit site to include some of the adhesives? The weld bond I caught... but not the adhesives for the acrylic or the stuff you used to attach the light bars inside.
I went to a graphic design class we always used masking tape (sometimes painters tape if we could get it cheaper) for transfer tape on every vinyl job, we used 2” and slightly overlapped the tape for bigger jobs (most jobs were bigger jobs btw)
Really nice build! Like the idea of plugging the lights in to an extension lead... great for people who dont have much skill in electrics! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea and execution of it as always, Bob~! You've definitely done Marvel proud with this project. You always leave me looking forward to what's next~!
Great video, Bob! Fun project, and the end made me audibly "awww!" It's also one of the most tastefully sponsored videos I've ever seen. The Avengers stuff clearly came from a genuine place and wasn't over-the-top, and (assuming Weldbond is a sponsor too) the tip on sealing the ends of MDF with Weldbond is a really useful tip.
You make me miss my dad, he died a long time ago when I was 9 I'd like to think that if he lived he would have been just like you, as loving as you With all the love to you and your lovely family ❤️
I love Avengers and I love that Marvel reached out to you to make something for the release of Avengers: Endgame! That is so awesome! (and now I need to go get it so I can watch it again) Maybe next time they'll let you do a prop from a movie. It's a great sign! And that glue catch: 10/10.
Yeah i learnt something thanks Bob (15:46)...how a father and daughter should be together, just beautiful and inspiring to see, thanks for sharing that and the project as well :)
This is exactly what i was looking for. I'm building a kickass home theater. But i need a perfect marquis. I want mine to hang out over the door to the theater, but a lot of these techniques will help

Kudos Bob!
Agreed, Thanks!

Thanks! They're what all this is about.
Catching glue while giving instructions without looking or flinching whatsoever, make a bits episode on that
I'm curious, how many times did you film that glue-catch while still looking at the camera? That was flawless.
BOB!!!
I just stopped crying 😢😭😭😭
You got a marvel/Disney sponsorship!?!? Your basically famous now

OMG! A Marvel sponsored build AND a super hero worthy glue catch at 3:05. ❤️👊

“Bob got sponsored by Mortal Kombat? That’s really cool that such a big thing would support a maker.”
Marvel: “Hold my beer”
I'm not crying, you're crying ! Great job there
That catch though
Favorite part was the hug. I’m a father. I have a Princess myself. Great video!

That 1-2-3 blocks from bits video series are putting into use so fast. 3rd!
I absolutely loved her reaction. Great build Bob.
Bob made Mjonir disguised as a glue bottle that's why he was able to catch it
I want a tutorial!!!
I knew it! Bob IS worthy.
What a great gift. Thanks for showing us how to make and dad!

What a lovely moment you two had. Boss video Bob

This is all I wanted. ILTMS making something from the MCU. Great work, guys.
If there is a nicer, more inspiring, and down-to-earth Maker out there....I sure haven't heard about it. Great job on this one Bob and team.

You scored major "Dad points" with that. Great job. You might have used magnets to hold the inner end piece in place if the press fit didn't work.
Cool project. I'm making a project for my daughter and she is super excited. We moved and she has a list of things to build for her. What fun.
Devin Williamson you should post some videos of what you make.
That is so cool! I love your videos. You can tell from your daughter's face that sh loved it and it's so sweet that you guys had a special moment.
Knocked it out of the park you guys!
Thanks Wes!
Very cool. I finally learned the proper time to remove masking after applying paint (never really knew that before now).
