I had front row seats to this show. Kiss Alive was the first vinyl I owned as a kid. (Born in 74) This was an absolute dream come true for a life long Kiss fan. Seeing Ace play that solo along side Mike McCready is something I will never forget.
Thanks for another solid reaction. Matt Cameron really did a nice job on vocals here. Can you believe that guy was the full time drummer for PJ, Soundgarden, and Audio Slave at the same time! He really doesn't get enough credit for what he brings to the table. As you routinely point out, PJ's rhythm section usually has it on lock down like a supermax prison. And I think you are right about crediting Eddie for his willingness to step back. You can tell with PJ that the guys really root for each other's success. Every album has songs written by each member of the band.
Knew you’d enjoy that. I think there is only one more on my list, hurry up so I can start requesting again lol. Just kidding probably will let everyone make requests from now on, but if you run low let me know and I’ll throw them at you. Keep up the good work. P.S. I’ll be ordering you a “I’m a Pearl Jam Fan” shirt for Christmas 🤪🤣
Ya, that sounds like something Phil would say lol. The fact that you were expecting it to be awesome shows how much you've come to really respect Pearl Jam, you expect them to deliver with Ace Frehley.
McCready is a huge KISS fan! You got that right. And yes, Eddie can share a stage with style. Not a big Kiss fan myself but I love to see a band having so much fun. Enjoyed the review and the fact that you were enjoying it.
Great reaction...not to much into Kiss but I freaking enjoy Ace Frehley. I got some friends that have a Kiss tribute band..its pretty cool cuz they just do it for the fun cuz they love Kiss.
As always, solid review.. glad you caught that Eddie gives the band the stage - he does that more often than not with guests and when the time calls for it. He really knows how to be the front man. Also you can really see the joy in McCready while playing with Ace - was awesome. Sorry if I missed it, but what Avenge Sevenfold song did you play with them? That's pretty cool.🤙
Well it wasn't all of A7X, it was just their drummer "TheRev" Jim Sullivan. We actually played together just a few months before he passed away which was unfortunate because he was a super solid drummer and a really great vocalist to boot. We played a song with Phil Anselmo from Pantera, obviously it was the Pantera song "Walk". Funny story....Phil was soooo drunk he couldn't remember all the words.....luckily the crowd knew them pretty well. Jim looked at me with a look of "please tell me you know this" on his face...I just smiled and nodded, and he relaxed. We locked in, and between Jim and I we pulled it off. Fun time, I'll never forget it.
@@THEDavidHeretic that's awesome... classic Phil lol and people wonder why the band grew tired of him 😂 ...... well that and the heroin, unfortunately... that's a cold story.
Dave... just admit
It already... GIVE IN! You cannot now say that you don’t love PJ hahaha!

PJ and SG for sure - but that was Brad Wilk on the Audioslave records and tours. Another master of his craft.

Mike McCready played on Ace's album
Amazing, I was fortunate to see Kiss Live and it was not a concert it was an unparalleled experience ❗🤘
Agreed. They are my benchmark for all other live performers to live up to.
@@THEDavidHeretic as far as performance, no one has come close yet
Amazing reaction video as always 👌🏾
That was Sick!! Check out Eddie Vedder doing Porch live at Global Citizens Festival from 2018.
I need a link Leslie....
I also suggested this a while back thought you’d like it. You should also try PJ’s version of The Ramones I Believe in Miracles
It's in the que, it's gonna be a while but it is in there.
My favorite McCready moment is his solo on Pearl Jam’s live version of Maggot Brain
Milwaukee 1995 - that's probably my favorite piece of guitar work ever performed. That song and the Mad Season record the same year - the best.

Dude, is it time for Soundgarden yet?
Got a couple in the que from them, I promise I will get to them.
