Hi I’m late watching your videos, but loving them. I’m based in the UK and have recently started making amigurumi and I nearly gave up on my first project as it was difficult....Then I found your video where you say keep going, and you will improve ! And thank you I kept going and they are improving, not perfect, but it makes them unique 😀. Most people do them in cotton, I found that hard to work with and then I watched your recommendations for wool, so much easer and forgiving. Anyone who wants to start making amigurumi, please watch the four starter videos. The designer amigurumi is available on the Uk Amazon. Love your knitted Bunnies. A big thank you. Alex
Thank you so very much! I'm so glad my videos have helped you! And cotton looks so good, but doesn't feel good to some of us! Glad you found that wool works for you too. 💓🍄💓🍄
@@EliseRoseCrochet there are not enough videos out here on amigurumi books, if you ask ME, so I REALLY enjoyed your video and careful recommendations. Thanks so very much, Dawn. I know you can do it. It just takes wrapping your head around the techniques, being ok with the first one lookin like crud, and doing it all over again! Lol! I also want to learn how to knit socks! It seems like it is very addictive! I am still so in love with my room I can't hardly stand it!!
Thank you for the recommendation's. I also recommend, "Kawaii Crochet" by Melissa Bradley, this was my first book. I bought Kawaii Crochet at Joann's Fabrics. There are a few single crochet patterns I have purchased from etsy because I was looking for a specific character. I want to crochet all the things, but what do I do with them all? I am new to crochet, the reason I wanted to learn crochet is because I wanted to make amigurumi. I am actually a knitter, but I feel that crochet has some specific strengths that knitting lacks when it comes to making plushies. Knitted animals are still cute though. I also LOVE granny squares, and wanted learn how to make granny squares as well. Paintbox yarns are great by the way, totally recommend.
Thank you for these amigurumi book recommendations. I have the book Animal Friends of Pica Pau, Unicorns, Dragons and More, Zoomigurumi 4 and Zoomigurumi 7, as well as Loveable Amigurumi Toys and Cuddly Amigurumi Toys.
