Nice finds! WOW a wedding ring as well. Kept you two busy. That water kept you running , must have been cold.? I can't believe y'all are still running around in shorts and we are getting snow on Monday. Windy today bout blew us away. I love to watch . Have fun there in the Sunshine State.

Thanks! We've started find rings again since using the DEUS II. Has been quite a while! Might just be coincidence.
The ocean temps right now run about 60 F to 65 F. So not too bad as long as the sun is shining and not too windy.
Some days can be quite chilly out there. As long as the sun is shining, the weather is fine for shorts!

Nice to watch the both of you enjoy digging snd finding the good stuff, the metal junk, fun things and the ‘who knows’. Plus still the long flat beaches are nice too. Nice ring also!
I’ve been out 6-7 times this year so far. Wifey already commenting ‘your going out again?’😅 But dug first ring of the year, a nice stainless steel men’s ring, hot wheel type cars, a good box cutter knife, over $5 in change and all sorts of surface trash and worthless metal things. Most frustrating thing - the disappearing find - it was there then it’s not.

Thanks Ed! Glad your finding some good stuff! Those disappearing targets are frustrating! Just have to take a scoop or 2 more and you'll find it out! Seems Nickels do that to me all the time!
I think the angle changes and/or the conductivity changes, mineralization changes... Any number of things.
We will be visiting a lot more variety of beaches this year. Some of the beaches we do aren't as flat, but compared to west coast they are still easier to get around.
And just need to give your wife the quality time she needs so she's OK with you out detecting (IMHO)! Cheers!

    The 540 rules!

Yes! The Vanquish 540 is a beast at its price point as a mid to entry pro detector. It just works and finds things you just would't expect! We own 2!

I metal detect myself I have a Garrett AT Pro.. all these detectors have different number values and all you guys do the same thing you only say the number but you don't say what it represents I know what mine represents but they're all different and I don't know what an 80 is on yours or a 12 I know a couple guys on here that will say I think it's a nickel,, I think it's a quarter. which really does help out and it makes the video more interesting too

Hi David, Thanks for the feedback. Something we will be improving! Sorry if we forget to give reference all the time.
We do try to indicate what we think the item is based upon the numbers now and then. I do try to compare, and you'll hear us say something like "It's a quarter!" - A 29 to 30 on the Vanquish and Equinox. But a 90 to 92 on the DEUS II.
You should see us describe the numbers to the items found across our videos, but not in every segment.
Since I'm now using the XP DEUS II most of the time and Terri is using the Minelab Vanquish 540, the two scales are completely different. We have to remember two number systems now!
The Equinox I use some times has the same scale as the Vanquish.
Yes, I also know the Garret AT Pro, and it's numbering scale is way different than any of these. The AT is much tougher to use on the beach!

Oh, a follow-up! On our next video you'll see we call out our guesses as to what we think it is and we are showing the numbers for comparison.
One thing to remember - especially with the DEUS II, an object may start out strong on the Target ID, and sound fair, but may change as I dig it up. Gold is good at that. It's more about how it sounds than what the Target ID is.
Many times we get fooled -- call out "it's a penny - 21" and it turns out to be jewelry or other copper item. But the sound is different. Target IDs are a nice guide, but it a fine art that we are still trying to master!
      Have fun out there! Cheers.
