- I got h13 (also 9008) led bulbs for my mustang.
the bulb plugged in no problem and lit up. but I could not for the life of me get the bulb to twist into the housing!!! it was the right side and so close to fitting but it would not I tried for hours!!!!
all you need for this is scissors or sand paper.
make sure to watch the video to make sure your having the same problem as me!!!!!
I tried making the video as quick and to the point as possible.
comment down below if you need more help!!!
this was3
hope this helps!!!
h11, h7, LED, halogen, 9007, 9006
I MADE A MISTAKE.
When I showed you how the bulb should go once it's in you actually want the led chips to be at 9 and 3 o clock!!!! NOT 12 and 6 like I showed
You created the most helpful video that I have ever watched on UA-cam. Thank you so much...
So glad it helped!!!! It took me so long to figure out!
If you take out the rubber seal and fits try putting some grease on the rubber seal to help it slide in
had issues with 9005 and 9006 bulbs. ordered from aliexpress. the plastic part was just too fat to fit in the housing. anyone else have this issue?
first time i ordered the 9006 were too fat. second time i ordered 9005 bulb was too fat.
i am very confused. i ordered from different sellers. so not sure why this keeps happening. In the past i use to order no issues. now this is a new issue i have noticed this year 2024
9005 led for 2016 Highlander won’t fit in housing-Sylvania brand. I’m hoping manager at Advanced Auto refunds. I’ll look and modify somehow if they won’t. I requested replacements for my low beams. Only, only to realize they sold me the bulb for the highbeam. Plug prongs didn’t even fit the beams is how I discovered the mixup. 2 bulbs were pricey, should have ordered from Amazon.
Thanks for the video, this was driving me nuts until I made the modifications you suggested worked like a charm
Right on so glad it helped! Took me hours to figure out hahaha
Well got some bulbs for a civic mine fits in floppy and the bulbs are for the car so had to put stock back in
I had the collar on the factory bulb stay in the car, and the bulb unscrewed without its collar. I didn't notice that, and when I went to put in the led one, I fought and fought to find the sweet spot to line up the 3 tabs but could not. I finally figured out why. The factory collar was still in it. So it was a bitch but with my finger and some pain I was able to push and turn the factory collar counter clockwise and remove it. Then the led bulb went right In to the 3 spots and I pressed and turned it. Thus it was done. I have never had the old bulb separate like that before, what a pain in the ass
Mine is like metal and not rubber and it will not fit in snug, there is minimal play. Also it is a h7 led light bulb. I have a 2014 jetta se 1.8t. I'm going to return the item cause maybe it's defective, but seeing your video, I am sure mines came defective.
I'm having this issue on 2019 ford fusion but my issue is the housing attached to the bulb is too long.
