    I've had the older Creality LD-006 and the UW-02 wash&cure station from this video for a quite a while now. and i love them both.
    the only complaint I've heard (not experienced myself) about the wash and cure station is that it uses 2 frequencies of light for curing, and one of them can discolor clear resin while curing if you cure for an extended time.
    I've never used clear resin before and never had any issues with mine, so I'm unsure if its a valid complaint.

    The air purifier will assist in eliminating odors and that's about it. Carbon filters can slightly decrease VOC'S from the atmosphere of a room, yet not enough to where it is safe. Good ventilation in a room is a must and you are correct a heater would play a better role with a 3-d printer than a carbon filter and fan.

    Suffice to say, you'd probably do better to get a heater in your shop, as opposed to expecting a 3D printer to have a heated vat. On a side note: If they added a mechanism to blow you while it prints out your models, that would definitely be a notable feature!

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  Рік тому

      To heat my entire studio for a day costs me an average around £5 a day and that’s only for daylight hours. Add extra £5 for the night time so it costs roughly£10 to heat my studio and print daily. With the small heater in my printers that I use currently it costs me less than £2 per full day cycle over a month that saves a ton and is waaay more beneficial than an air filter. Heat an entire studio or a small box ? I know what is more cost effective to me.

    thank you for this quick review! I need your true feeling about the quality and fiability of it, do you think this one is as good as saturn 2 or M3 plus? I was thinking to buy the saturn 2 for the ratio quality/price but this one seems to be a game changer! I'm just afraid about quality : do the air filter and the resin pump are solid and not gadjets to hype people? We don't have many feedback or reviews for the moment so it is hard to jump on it without fear...

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  Рік тому +1

      Ok so honestly. The pump is friggen amazing. I mean it works and that can’t be said about the m3 plus pump which never worked nor did it work on the m3 max. Before this machine my favorite was the m3plus but now I’m torn. What I like about this creality is that I can take out that air filter and use that space for a heater which in my opinion is a billion times more useful than the filter since you’re just gonna open the hood and take a fat wiff of that resin everytime you open it which will be a lot since it can print so damn fast. Also this is almost half the price of the m3 plus I think I didn’t check latest pricing but I payed double the sale price of this for the m3 hope that helps you dude. I am going to wait several feedbacks before buying it...🤨

      @Groundeffected  Рік тому +1

      @@danteinferno6513 fair enough let me add some info to your info. The halot mage pro hasn’t shipped yet.. there isn’t any halot mage pro in the publics hands at all for now. Also that refil nozzle is down by default and it cannot come up as it is clipped into place by the vat. So if you mount the vat wrong then maybe you might have that issue but there’s a very definite click when you push the vat into place. I have heard some issues on the halot mage but don’t confuse the two machines. Not sure on the exact differences but they’re not the same machine. Annoyingly they look identical hahaha. Hey, thanks for the great review. I've got the Halot Mage Pro shipping on May 17th but had a couple concerns that maybe someone can address. Listed on the site there are some common looking accessories, such as the Fast Resin that i see in your video, as well as replacement carbon filters. Neither of these are actually available for sale on their website. When contacting support they acted like they had no idea what i was talking about until i forwarded them a screenshot from their own site, circling both those products. They admitted they do not know when they will have Fast Resin for sale, and incredibly, that they will not ever be selling replacement carbon air filters.
    Is there maybe something in the packaging to order the resin or filters, or are the filters generic where they could be sourced anywhere? Just feeling a little scammy to advertise these blazing fast speeds, with subtext saying you need the fast resin to do it (but we can't buy it) and their filter lasts 3 months, but you can't actually replace them.
    Brand new to the resin printing community, so apologies if i'm asking dumb questions haha. Thanks in advance!

    • @Groundeffected
      @Groundeffected  Рік тому

      Hey dude. They mentioned to me that the fast resin isn’t available yet. I’m not sure why. I will do some tests with standard resins but in my opinion as long as the resin is not too thick you’ll still get good speeds, just seems like because it flows super well that it’s able to fill the cavity faster than the usual thicker resins. I’m sure they’ll have both those items for sale eventually. Sorry if you’re not feeling it but from my experience in the past I’ve not had any bad experiences with creality but also I’ve never had to contact customer services yet though…. Good luck my dude. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help

    They really need to stop putting these lid sensors on curing machines. I've had to find the right tape to put over my sensor on my Mercury X because it doesn't like the lid either. Warning labels are enough, let's not take away functionality for a failed attempt at safety.

    you just need to cover up the sensor on the UW-02

      I mean I may seem a bit of a plank but I’m not dumb hahaha I even said in the video that it doesn’t work when just covering it.

      @@Groundeffected sorry, didn't hear that bit, it works on mine, I just checked it now, covered with my finger and it started spinning.

      @@Bunyip_Studios yea. That’s what I was saying works with a finger but not a sticker or piece of paper and I can’t just leave my finger back there lol

      @@Groundeffected lol, no. Could try some bluetac or similar poster putty. You can get light blocking tape, it's what they put around the printer screen to stop UV bleeding through. If you've got a broken lid from an old printer, a piece of that taped in place should work

      @@Bunyip_Studios this is what I am saying it doesn’t work with a piece of blutac or a sticker. Try it and see it’s a Magic switch.
