Plot Two Sets of Data on an X Y Scatter Chart

Scatter charts may not always be easy to decipher, but once you and your audience get used to this type of chart, it is very useful. This video show how to plot two sets of data into an X Y Scatter chart. It also shows how to add additional axis to the chart for a total of four axes.

Doug H how do you set up the 2 data groups meaning how do you set it to be group A and B

Add the text on the top most cell for the group, select the range and merge the cells.

Sorry, I was not clear before. Supporting my previous question. I have a question on Combo chart:
We have dates, duration and charge. Date: horizontal axis, Duration: First data series (column) and Charge: second data series (line). In this data, sometimes the charges is null
How to create the chart but don’t show duration if the charges is null

if by null you mean zero (O) value, try to put NA() in the cell instead. in a line line chart that wouldn't get charted.

Yes, you are perfect, thank you! :) But I have not Layout menu in Excel 2016 - so I do right click on the ribbon, Customise Ribbon, I find Axes command (from all commands) and add it to the ribbon.
System ask me for create New group, I create it with New group at the right bottom.

I have a question. How can we create a combo dual axis chart in a new worksheet? I just took excel expert exam and it make it wrong. When I tried to click insert combo chart in a new worksheet, it did not allow me to. so What I did? is that I created a new work sheet
clicked insert, line chart
then selected the series and then the axis label
The result of my chart was the same as what was in the exam reference but still make it wrong.

I mean if the "charges" is null, we won't show the column data of the Duration. for example. if the value of "Charges" (Line) = 0 and the value of "Duration"(column) =200, We won't show the "Duration" of 200 in the chart. Thank you so much

Sounds like you have to have a helper column that uses an IF function to see if there is null value in charges column to output responses to TRUE or FALSE results. Then use this column for the charting.
