Warnings - Raphael!Crowley, some flashing lights, sad
I will never be over of Crowley’s character arch - the fallen (arch)angel who fell for asking questions/hanging out with the wrong people and crying out for the redemption ever since, only for him to realize that the closure to fulfil his needs is not God’s forgiveness and love from Heaven, the only thing, which he needs for redemption is Aziraphale’s forgiveness and love, which he got. So, cry with me.
This started as a idea “if Crowley really was archangel Raphael and while demons can’t step on concentrated ground, but as this church is dedicated to archangel Raphael and Crowley is/was Raphael so he would be fine, right??” likewise with the holy water, it’s not that he’s immune, it simply doesn't have any effect on him because it's Raphael's church. I hadn’t meant it to become this dark and angsty, but here we are, it's MCR after all, what did you expect?
The church featured here is St. Raphael’s Church in Kingston upon Thames; I tried to find the church dedicated to Raphael as closest as possible to London.

For those who're confused here's short summary. The animatic follows Crowley after his fight with Aziraphale, who ran away to Kingston upon Thames to call his past self out and have a complete breakdown at St. Raphael's church. Then since he still has trauma for the fall drenches himself in holy water, however as it is Raphael's church, the holy water doesn't have any effect on him. Then Aziraphale marches in and the rest is history.
(I know I'm being cruel to them >:) )

@@damimates in this scenario he is the fallen archangel Raphael and so in the church dedicated to St. Raphael (basically the church dedicated to him) the concentrated ground and holy water has no effect on him (but this is only my headcanon)
I thought he'd died! Thank you for explaining he didn't, otherwise that would've been a horrid ending.

Could someone explain the Crowley was Raphael headcanon
It’s saying that Crowley was Raphael before he fell due to questioning why humanity had to suffer so much in the Great Plan, because he, created as God’s healer, grew too fond of humanity to see them in pain. The other archangels didn’t like that so they threw him off with Lucifer’s angels, though he still chose to be kind after his Fall. Crowley also mentions that he created stars during his time in heaven, and that job (if I’m not wrong) was Gabriel and Raphael’s. Raphael’s also depicted with red hair and is the only main archangel missing from the show. People also think it gives the events of s1 a different feeling, as instead of just being two nobodies stopping the Apocalypse and creating their own side it’s an ex important archangel stopping the apocalypse on a side with a friend he can just spend time with
Crowley isn't the smartest sometimes if you want to die don't go to a place detected to who you were and probably won't let you die.

True story now:
I was going to have a lesson and I was super anxious so I decided to calm myself by watching some animations with my new found perfect ship. This animatic was the first one that popped up so here I was. My first thoughts where about the style (which is lovely btw🥰) but then I started to recognise a singer’s voice and I was shocked. I couldn’t believe that my favourite band and ship are mixed together, its just a pure perfection. After that I started fangirling and I couldn’t focus on my lesson. It was totally worth it!

I'm guessing it's because it's a church dedicated to Raphael. This video seems to be based off of the headcanon that Crowley was Raphael at one point. So if it was a church dedicated to him, he would be fine. Physically, anyways. He obviously isn't feeling too good emotionally in this video. 😭💔

This always makes me sad - great song choice and great art, though! I like your use of color, and the transitions are amazing. Crowley's anger and depression get me and it hurts! The end part especially, the jumping between the different frames and Crowley yelling at Raphael for who he used to be - damn, my heart. Thank you for this though!
