5 y/o gorilla Riki was caring for his baby sister Sumomo. The gorilla siblings were playing for a long time and looked so happy. Riki is getting better at caring and treating Sumomo day by day. @@detlefhunger5610 Hi Monika! 😊 I’ve not seen the off-display area at Ueno zoo, but most zoos have an indoor area where the gorillas sleep. The zookeepers usually provide bedding materials (like branches and straw) so the gorillas can make themselves a nest for the night. Sometimes there are platforms/elevated areas so the gorillas can make their nests up off the floor. Baby gorillas usually sleep cuddled up to their mother, all safe and cosy❣️ 😴😴🥰
😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤ Baby girl loves wrestling with brother Riki❣️❣️ It’s so cute how she goes on the ‘attack’ with her little play-bites - you can tell she’s really enjoying the game. 😍 Riki is very gentle with her - I love how he lies down to be at her level. Lovely to see Daddy Haoko coming over to observe the fun. ❤ Sumomo is completely adored by her entire family and given the very best care by the zookeepers - you can really see her body and her personality becoming stronger in every video. 😍😍😃 Great work Ueno Zoo and Haoko Family❣️❣️👏👏👏

Don’t worry - Sumomo is very much loved and cared for by the zoo and by her whole family. Her progress since she rejoined the group a few months ago has been amazing❣️ She has become so confident, she’s full of energy, she enjoys trying all sorts of new food and she has great relationships with every single member of the group❣️Basically, she has everything a little gorilla needs to thrive, to be healthy and to be happy❣️ ❤❤❤

She walks better and moves quicker than many gorillas her age. She’s pretty impressive in her development. She gets fed by the keepers with bottles and picks at the food her family members get. She’s only coming up on 1 yr old. She doesn’t eat all solid food yet. Her family isn’t mean to her. They play with her as they play with one another. Gorillas wrestle for play. She’s turning into a confident spunky little girl. ❤
I must be watching a different video bc I'm not seeing any abuse in this video. She's playing with her older brother who is being super gentle with her. She looks like she's having a blast wrestling with Riki.
