I'm a Democrat from KY, and think Kinzinger has been a rock star, along with fellow Republican Liz Cheney, for being brave, objective and honest with the details of their experience and views on the J6 attack. Alot of expressed outrage and disapproving comments from Republicans are recorded during the attack, yet how many kept their lips zipped when the day of truth came? I am especially ashamed of my state's Mitch McConnel, while never being a fan, I really expected him to be a human that respected Democracy, since it has provided him a place at the table for so long(sooooo long...😫). At least I can say I'm not too stubborn or afraid to step across party lines when our basic fundamentals of a free country are threatened, and give respect where it belongs to others that do so. Glad to hear from Kinzinger this still holds true for him. Wish all could stop the fanaticism line of thought, we need our government to get down to business of working together to better every Americans life.

Now the GOP is slowly making itself unable to stand up to the democrat’s worst impulses. Unless they change, and start sticking up for the everyday folks, even a little bit, they will cease to exist.

you are delusional - your 'democracy' is not only threatened it is over and you can't even see it - the Court Roe decision has doomed the Republicans to be out of power for a long time - they will lose again in 2024 and probably in the next 2 elections after that -because the Dems will use that weapon every time and the women and floating voters will tip the scales in favor of the Dems - they only need 2-3% - even after the decision has been reversed - so maybe 16 years out of power - and by the time they get back in they will all be RINO's - and only allowed in to take the bad look off a so called one party state 'democracy' - so democracy is over in the US - the only way that the Reps can get elected again is to become Dems light or an entirely new party that is basically another Democratic party so you will soon have two parties that are more or less the same - and have a EU sort of government - here in Europe we get to vote but nothing changes and the people have no say in EU government - all policy is decided by unelected technocrats and the only politicians allowed to run are those who agree with that set policy - sure a tiny few 'radicals' are allowed in but only one or two - again to take the bad look off things - that is what is coming to the US - ergo - the end of democracy.

won't matter - the Court Roe decision has doomed the Republicans to be out of power for a long time - they will lose again in 2024 and probably in the next 2 elections after that -because the Dems will use that weapon every time and the women and floating voters will tip the scales in favor of the Dems - they only need 2-3% - even after the decision has been reversed - so maybe 16 years out of power - and by the time they get back in they will all be RINO's - and only allowed in to take the bad look off a so called one party state 'democracy' - so democracy is over in the US - the only way that the Reps can get elected again is to become Dems light or an entirely new party that is basically another Democratic party so you will soon have two parties that are more or less the same - and have a EU sort of government - here in Europe we get to vote but nothing changes and the people have no say in EU government - all policy is decided by unelected technocrats and the only politicians allowed to run are those who agree with that set policy - sure a tiny few 'radicals' are allowed in but only one or two - again to take the bad look off things - that is what is coming to the US - ergo - the end of democracy.

The system that the US has ended up with is the problem.
      Most politicians are....well
Your a retail manager with 200 staff.
      They want a pay rise.
You have total control over giving it to them.
      If you do
What ever you give them, 10% is deducted from your salary.
AND you lose your bonus for 2 years.
      Or
      If you don't
You get a pay rise and a bigger bonus.
That's it, no other consequences for you as you can just blame (insert scapegoat or distraction)
      What would you do ?
You would protect you income - or are you going to do that every year ?

Neither DeathSantis nor any other will ever replace tfg in his cult members' hearts. He alone is their idol. Run of the mill Republicans might embrace him, but not the die-hard Trumpers.

I think we the people are going to have to start picketing in front of DOJ because they have made the political decision to not bring federal criminal charges against Trump and his close allies because of the political offices they held or still hold. We need a DOJ that follows the rule of law, regardless of political affiliation or status. Let’s start ticketing anyone old enough to remember Gandhi and Martin Luther King will know there are powers in numbers of people marching peacefully.

But they still may, I haven't heard that anything has been dropped and noone cleared. I may just have missed it, but didn't DOJ last reply that they expected it to be late November or early '23 before we may see further actions, whatever it may be?
