When we went to Belize years ago, we took a water taxi to visit Caye Caulker and one of the locals was telling us how they could figure out where you were from by the way you pronounced "Caye" and it has been in debate for a long time. Lol
Traditionally,”cay” is pronounced “key,” but recently, both pronunciations have become acceptable. We’ve been to Half Moon Cay 8-10 times and think it is just beautiful. We walk as far away from the crowd as possible to find our beach chairs because it gets crowded and loud as the day goes on!
I love the carnival cruises. Im going on carnival Horizon in june 2022. this will be my fourth cruise at 13 years old. i love your guy's energy and makes me super exited for this cruise. i loved all the ports I've been to.
The water there is crystal clear and I have rented one if those $ 300.cabanas so worth the money snacks drinks every thing you need right there .but yes for a big group the bigger one would be spot on
Will be there this November on the first day of the FIFA WC. most likely will go in for an early beach morning and back on board for the opening Match at 11:00 AM. I don't see a Bar on the Kay.

We have only been to half moon key once, years ago. Now that we can go on the magic out of Cape carnival, I can't wait to go back.. they use to have these half covered rent looking thing. You didn't mention that nor did I see any in the picture. I want to be able to get out of the sun. .the little beach houses are to expensive for just us two. I have been talking about booking the magic in November so we can go back. Pluse going to my other two favorite places, grand turk and amber cove...life just doesn't get better than that. Love you guys. You are one of the few bloggers who do answer a question when we ask something, that means a lot to me..so if that cover clam looking thing is still there let me know, or if you can rent chairs with an umbrella, is that available. Yes, you can rent the clam shells. They are 29.99 for the entire day. You can also find some natural shade in the lounge chairs by the villas. (At least in the morning time) Sorry for the slow response 😉

If you want a clamshell, order as much is advance as possible. They sell out quickly. If you do rent one and it’s hot in it, you can raise the rear flap to get some air circulation.

Hello, is there a water park for the kids like Royal Caribbean’s perfect day at coco cay? A carnival rep tried to tell me it was but I cannot find any evidence of it. They even sent me to an off brand website that had a picture of RC perfect day listed under carnival. Thank you.

What if you go on the island and after a few hours you’re ready to go back to the ship. Can you return to the ship on that boat shuttle throughout the day or do you have to wait until the end of the day?
It’s a port stop. You go and enjoy the beach and food at no extra charge. Excursions like the sting ray adventures or horseback riding are extra and you book those in advance. The cabanas, villas, floats, etc…all have a rental fee by the hour or by the day. Any bars you pay per drink even if you have the drink package.

The villa is $1300 now and for snacks, a hot tub and lunch it’s definitely not worth it in my opinion
They want 1600 for the villas now and $500 for the cabanas 😔
