Sims 3 Bridge Tutorial (Arched Bridge)

- Please read this after you've watched the video! How to make an arched bridge in The Sims 3:
-You must type in "ConstrainFloorElevation False" and "ConstrainFloorElevation True" when I did in the video or it may not work!
-You must delete that tile on top of the bridge and replace it or else there will be a bar running from one foundation to the next!
-Middle section is three clicks up, outside sections are two clicks up!
-You cannot change the flooring or stairs once you are done, so be sure to know what you want before you do it!

I love this video! I first made the mistake of trying to make it 3 squares wide and it did not work...but I followed ur simple steps and vuala...I got it and it works with my sims just fine...thanx so much...much appreciated!

OMG!!!! Thanks so much for the video!!!! It works great and my sims can even walk on it!!!! It looks great!!!! Where you level the land was the tricky part though... :)
@TheOneRebornElyrize Yep, that's exactly it. I did that at the end really quick to get those results. Use any brush you'd like. I'd use the softer brush if I were you to make it look like it's shallower towards the edge(s) of the bridge.

Make sure the hills on the outside are like mine, two up on the outside and one up on the inside.
Make sure you turn off the elevation cheat when I did.

@coochi6 I'm not sure what you mean. My terrain was perfectly flat from start to finish.
Make sure you enter all cheat codes correctly at the correct times! Hope that helps.

Thanks! I had to use 2 click rather than 3 because the bridge was always too high. I used 1 click on the foundation.

Yes you have to use the cheat, turning it on "False" allows all buildings and such to move as you edit the terrain, having it on "True" does not allow this.

That happened to me aswell, and I think that's because I used the flat tool to make the rest instead of only using the "highten ground tool" (my game client is in swedish so I don't know the english words, but hope this helps!)

@selfmania Can't help ya bud, my Sims walk on it! There may be some algorithms the game uses that make seems not be able to walk up certain angles (probably over 45 degrees), but any bridge this size or less should be fine.
nice!!! i just like worked something out :O :O :O lol you can change the floor even if u finished the bridge all you have to do is select the new floor you want and press the "change all similair tiles" button nd den jus put ur mouse over the old tile nd it will change :D

I don't consider this a cheat because it is already put into the game that objects should not interact with terrain editing, the code is simply to make objects interact with the terrain.

i tried to make this bridge, except when i click three time to raise the terrain, it does not raise it evenly. How do you raise it evenly???
Some walk over it and sometimes I've heard they won't, but for me it looks normal.
okay so i tried this like a million times and every time, it like doesnt make the perfect little hill like in yours. it comes out all uneaven and when i hit undo and try again, it still comes out uneaven and the hills go up too high even if i just click once. how do i fix that?

I tried making this, but when i change the view to the lowest level like on this vid 1:29 my decks dont appear the same way as here. They stay up and show through the floore when i arch. How can i get them to show like on this video?
when ever i try to raise the ground, it goes to high, are u using anything else but the mouse to click it? what am i doing wrong its driving me nuts!

But how to make it over like.. a river? :S i mean can you just 'spray' the water underneath the bridge then? ..
i did it as u told,but it seems the bar said it can on buildings,b4 i tried that,now it can't,stupid update!

Then edit the terrain after you've built your bridge.
it doesnt matter how fast i click the mouse, a huge hill just pops up and theres nothing i can do about it.
