This replaced an older wall unit that failed. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQDiHf0Cagl2e3YNPX-bWnDMXQAL2A2Y8 The grill on the front is nice, the old unit did not have one, just the glass. Much more kid/dog friendly. Best feature is the battery operated igniter..... old one had the plunger type, which was quirky. This one fires right up with just a touch of the button. Takes the chill off a room very quickly, seems to put out more heat that the one that was there, even though they were the same BTUs. Very impressed.... so much so I bought a second one to replace the other old one even though it still works!

Dear Sir, you just saved me a couple of hundred dollars. Thank you so very much for this video. Even though I have a totally different wall heater, your instructions were perfect. I appreciate people like you who take the time to help single women in the high rocky mountains resolve another issue. :o)

Just found your channel. My stove is nearly like yours. Every 3 months, I take it apart, clean it, and put it back together. The family who lived here before me taught me to clean it (I thought) but they told me to spray the air into the brick from the front. Now, that worked for a while, but this year, it was pushing flame way over the safety lip, so something was clearly wrong, but cleaning my way was not helping. .Especially since it was fine last spring, I assumed it was something "environmental" rather than mechanical. I live in a VERY dusty house near a busy road with 3 shedding cats, so after I watched your channel, I knew I had to try your method. I went out and grabbed the stuff and immediately cleaned as you indicated. I saw dust come out of the brick just like yours and it's all back to normal now. From a loud flame shooting way up high to the silent red brick in less than a half hour. You are a LIFE SAVER (and a family saver, too, probably). Thank you for making this video. I will be doing it right from now on.

My 16-year old propane heater had gotten to where the flames were leaping off the burners like the one wonky burner in your video. I've routinely cleaned the pilot light assembly over the years, but I had never cleaned the primary air holes for each of the burners. I used my air compressor to blow up through the air intake holes and poof--a black cloud literally puffed in my face! After cleaning everything up and putting it back together, no more leaping flames, and the burners are glowing nice and red, just like it did when it was new. Thanks so much for the detailed video.

Watching in November 2023 . Still a vary good video with good information and clear instructions . In Canada these heaters are NOT LEGAL ... YET you can get Mr. Buddy and a Mr. Buddy CABINET heater ( basically a Mr. Buddy BIG in a metal 3 sided cabinet that takes a 20 Lb Propane tank . Kind of Big Brother stupidity Eh ? This cleaning advice is applicable to these smaller heaters as well . Thanks . Ontario Canada.

Man I just wanted to take a minute to thank you fot making this video. I had never taken my heater down to bare bones to clean it until I watched your video. I have the same heater as you do but a blue flame version. I had a so-called hvac pro come in several years ago to clean my heater and make sure everything looked good. He took the grate only off and wire brushed over the burner. Charged around $50 lit it and said that is all you have to do. I cleaned it yesterday, lit it and the pilot light flamed up yellow-orange color and when I turned it up it stayed lit for a few minutes and went out. Freaked me and my wife out. After watching your video, I took it apart and followed your steps and heater is working as it should! Can't thank you enough! Appreciate you bud! Liked and subscribed to your channel.

Thank you so much, I am a service tech for a small propane company in Iowa. Have a customer that said she sees a flame shooting over the brick and sometimes out of the heater... I couldn't see it. It is only an 18,000 but heater with three bricks and the outer two bricks light but the middle one doesn't glow like the outer ones. I am going to try to clean it as you did, thanks again.

Thanks, Wayne. I am about to clean a five element heater like that. It even has the most dirty element in #2 position, just like yours. Ok, no chemicals, and you convinced me that none are needed, and none could help. I just may need to get an air blowing attachment with rubber nozzle, because my dust blowing attachment may be metal. Rubber, better seal, more pressure.
