Great review. Disclosure - am a huge fan of Iron Studios and their fluid, natural sculpts and texturing. IMO the costume modifications are the artists re-interpreting to give a total impression, not absolute screen accuracy. Their 1/4 scale MCU Civil War diorama is similar, in that the depicted scene of the 6 figs didn't actually happen in the film. If this was absolutely screen accurate, Mando wouldn't have been in Beskar walking with the Child through the canyon. Anyway I think Iron Studios blended elements from the V1 and V2 costumes to give a total look and basically, the beloved Beskar walking with the Child. Love it. It's like if you only can get one Mando piece, this is the iconic one. Looks like the cape could be replaced with a custom cloth one, if folks want. IMO Iron Studios nails it again in 1/4. Luv all the blended colors on this piece. It'd be nice if Alumaluster was used, but on the shelf from a few feet away not sure it's worth what would have been additional cost. PS. I think they didn't use complete holes on the cape because it would cause potential problems unmolding; but maybe the holes could be dremeled out?
Awesome thoughts! Yes I think the cape can be dremeled out. Honestly I can't see it when I am looking at it on my shelf so I won't modify it. With the way the cape is attached, I believe a custom cloth cape can be fitted in without any issue. So that I may do. But yea man, I agree with what you said. Sure its not screen accurate but I still love it. Part of the reason I am not a fan of reviews is that if I do not point this kind of stuff out then I am not disclosing everything. Most of the time none of the imperfections I find really bother me all that much. Although the orange peel effect is not something I care for on this one. Everything else though about this piece screams quality.
How well was this item packaged? Was it all nicely packed in cut out polystyrene packaging? Im having mine shipped in a couple of weeks and im worried about it in transport.
I'm the average Star Wars fan and your right that I didn't know about the inaccuracies. With that said I still love the piece! With it not being 100% accurate and the flaws I'd just tell myself "It's a mythos version. That's why it's like that" Good review bro. Just subbed to this channel as well!

Beautiful but should be classed as a maquette. Way too many inaccuracies. The crib being supported by the rock winds me up as well. Meanwhile sideshows has a terrible baby Yoda portrait. Can’t win.
So the rifle attaches to his cape? You see air between the cape and his back so it’s literally only attached to the cape. This and other inaccuracies are all nitpicking though. It has presence!
Mando Mando everywhere, this is a nice statue, I went for the latest Mando hot toys with swoop bike, only have space for a few 1/4 Scale and have a special place for my Cara dune when it's released ;) enjoy

Curious about something though all the things you talk about in the bad/ugly section did you know all of these things before buying the piece or did you find that out when you got the piece. Would you still buy it if you did know all of the bad/ugly things before hand. Realy wondering about that.
Yes I still would have bought it. I did not notice anything when I first saw it. So when my friend hit me up to get it, I did not hesitate. But even with all of those inaccuracies its still a really cool statue in my collection.

Yea I mentioned that in my uboxing about the rifle. It feels a little loose back there. But I do love the presence despite the inaccuracies.

the myc one is kinda cartoonish. this IS version is more live action screen acurrate.

Yep that is a big plus if you are concerned about having a low number. I personally like that its a low number myself.
