Her personality is that of a cardboard, stiff and dry. bro even the stiff guy neuvilette shows emotions better than her. also she killed her one and only friend cuz "it was a duel and the friend wanted to die anyway" . What a dumb reason and a bad charecter. But gameplay wise she is good i guess.
Goodness, I like her as a character (mostly because I like effed up villains) but I truly hope you are not the type to use such justifications in irl situations to justify actions of terrible people. The whole "but that abuser still loves you" and "they have their reasons for acting this way" is already terribly overdone as it is lmao

She's making do with a Position she was forced to hold. Do you think the Fatui will allow her to turn the House into a Flowery orphanage?
Ok, but I'm still kinda petty that Hoyo refuses to make a (playable) character a complete manipulative freak, (even tho still has a bit of love in her). Arlecchino was the closest, but no they have to nerf her badness bc of gacha game purposes and the snowflakes will not handle her (or she'll get killed like two other certain female harbingers....). No. What we got was more interesting anyway as she literally had to Navigate between the head of the House that is trained for the spies. The fact she was forced into the Position. The fact she effectively had to make do with the position she had.
Yea, it seems like all the Genshin characters have to appear good or nice for people to pull for them. I feel like this character likeability thing is less forced in Honkai Star Rail though, where Dr. Ratio is definitely arrogant and rude (not that he is evil), or Jade clearly has no problem using people for her benefit.

Jade is ruthless in Business but has the backs of her "children" (Adventurine). And she's a Dommy Mommy. Even Sparkle had a last minute reputation change when she's revealed to have been hired by SilverWolf to ensure Firefly 3 deaths happen in the safest way possible. She literally became this Fandom's best wingman BTW.
