Loved your video, thank you!
Thank you for your service most of all.
Thank you Laura!
I made my own. Light burn software is a great bit of software, worth checking out. Bad angle for the camera but appreciate the content 👍🏻
So you guys are basically in the same situation that we are in. We recently decided to get a laser ourselves just not a glow forge due to minor drawbacks of the machine and we also are documenting the whole journey. Our journey has just been hell lol
Just took a peek at your channel- looks like it! For what we’re doing right now the GF is working great, but we’re already on the limit of what we can do with it. Bigger laser and a CNC next!
I'd love to know more about your ventilation system you've created. I plan on setting up my GF in the garage and trying to figure out the best way to ventilate. TIA.
That’s a great topic for my next video! I’ll get it done for you!
Just posted a new video discussing it! Let me know what you think!
@@the263collective2 thank you! Looking forward to watching.
In the project library do you have to put everything together or it does the whole project pieces for you? Ty
To be honest, I’m not exactly sure what your question is. The dashboard in the glowforge app stores your previous projects, and glowforge also has the design catalog where you can download files for individual projects.
I “put everything together” in Adobe illustrator, then upload my files to the glowforge app in order to produce them. As long as your file is correctly designed, the glowforge app will interpret it as a complete project without a pile of individual pieces!
I like glowforge. Anyone that buys a glowforge is a sucker and it shows.. you just paid x8 for a larger k40.
Keep the prices of products up!!! We really appreciate the high costs of others.. gives us larger profit margins.
Hi. What kind of laptop are using? Meaning how big of a processor would I need? Thanks. Great video and I subscribed.
Hey there, thank you! I use my MacBook Pro, but any laptop will work as long as you’re able to run the glowforge app from your browser.
Woodburni g 2.0 nice
Quick question. Is there always going to be the burn marks around the cut or does it depend on the wood used? Also are you able to remove it easily? Thanks!
You can mitigate most of that by masking your piece, but it does also sand off easily. I personally stopped masking my Baltic birch after a couple weeks because it wasted time and materials when I knew I would be sanding the piece anyways!
I’ve heard white vinegar removes super easily.
Gotta tune the machine but otherwise you just mask it with masking tape.
what exhaust fan was that?
It's from a company called Terrabloom!
not for 5 grand, thats completely crazy, when one can get a lazer cutter/ cnc machine for 500, 5 grand really
For 5 grand. I bought 2 k40s 1 50 watt sh350 and a 60 watts k460.
For anothrr 5 grand i bought 2 k40s and a sh350 and 100 watt 5070..
For 12k i have 9 machines...
Glowforge is good because it shows people who dont know what they are doing but have too much money..
@@wildandcrazyevents4513 i can get a laser that is great and do what the glowforge does for 500
How long did it take to receive the glowforge?
Receipt timeline depends on which model you purchase- we got a pro, and received it in 4 business days!
@@the263collective2 I just spoke to a glowforge rep. The ship times are
Basic: 4 weeks. Plus: 2 weeks. Pro: Around 1 week.
I'm on the fence about buying one but if I do I'll use your referral link. Thanks, and wish you good luck with your new endeavors
@@weilam03 sounds like the times are coming down for the basic and plus models!! If you have any other questions I can answer, just let me know! Thank you!
@@weilam03 You guys are so lucky! When I ordered my Pro back in April, I had to wait 8 weeks for it.
@@angela0037 I think it's just a sweet spot right now and the delivery times will start to lag once their stock runs low . It's a case of " get em while it's hot" right now because inbound containers offload times are super iffy. They probably had a recent container delivered
I’d like to see these flags
Can do! I’ll make a video on them soon.
A new video is posted talking through the process! You can also check us out on instagram at the link in the description to see more pictures of the work. Thanks!

Wow glowforge are so bad, looks like ot doesnt even have air assits
It does have an air assist. If you’re saying that because of the charring, know that I purposely run more aggressive cut settings than I need most of the time. Allows for a little slack if the material has any warps or bends that cause the focus height of the laser to be off in specific spots.
Over priced and limited
