It is not everyday I've been interested in a projector but since I seen the commercials, I was very very interested to see how this would work. I want to see this work in a variety of conditions in real life.
I don't have a TV in my bedroom so I am very interested in this. I can project to any wall I want and watch. Can unplug it and bring it to the kitchen, bring it with me on a trip or anything. Projector but so small and so convenient to set up. Definitely a fan
I wish you mentioned the brightness in lumens, the resolution, and whether the colours look washed out. But the ability to auto adjust the image from any angle is definitely a huge leap forward in the technology. Do we know yet if the device is capable of drawing power through the socket adapter?
1080p, 550 lumens, 8'11" away for 100" screen, 6'6" away for 75" screen, $899. This is not bright enough. Even if I was camping, I would rather use a cheaper and better small projector (ie Optimus) and hook it up to a portable generator.

Innovation is doing something new, we have never had folding display smartphones before, regardless if you think its useful or not doesn't mean its not innovative because innovation by definition is doing something new. Why would you consider the iPhone innovative if we already had phones before, because its something new same concept with the fold. Samsung is currently the only smartphone maker innovating (not including chinese companies).

I ended up buying one, we connect it to Bluetooth speakers and watch movies outside with the kids. It's so bright and awesome even on the garage door. We have def pushed the limits of its screen on our blow up outdoor screen and never lose brightness and sharpness of our video and photos! So fun. We are still discovering all the features!
At 500 lumens you're going to need a basically pitch black room for that to be a good picture. Realistically using this in anything other than the dead of night outside is pretty unlikely
@@TESON1978 I didn't really want to bash Samsung too hard here, but in the interest of honest information......The website claims it's a 550 lumen projector, as per review from projector central he got 234 lumens in dynamic, standard and game mode, and 188 in movie with an input lag at around 43 milliseconds. To me they are some pretty terrible stats but if you read his whole (quite detailed) review he actually seems remarkably positive about it, so maybe I'm just missing something here
Everything should be able to connect to it as long as you have HDMI (It uses micro HDMI, but all you need is a normal HDMI cable with a micro hdmi adapter) I'm going to use my Desktop PC connected to it.
This would be great for my students in my class. We have projectors we use, and to focus to get clear pics and finding space is very hard. This would definitely be a game charger for work. I could change classes and take it with me to different rooms, especially now during this pandemic period.
I prefer XGIMI‘s Halo+ to Freestyle because it performs more professionally overall. Freestyle is more innovative in appearance and design, yet Halo+ performs better in terms of picture quality, sound quality, and experience. Plus, better value for your money.
Hope this products launches by next year, that way i dont have to buy a tv for me apartment. Looks amazing to buy one of these no hassle like owning a tv.

I had decided to reserve mine but then discovered from other UA-cam content creators that the features of this projector are lackluster for the price compared others available on the market.
I'm pretty sure that's the case. It's a big and well known company who barely make such product. Perhaps it's more polished than the competition, software and hardware-wise but in terms of features and price, other options will mostly likely be better.
Naa I have it and it's dope. Has all the built in apps like Netflix, hbo max etc. I bought it for watching movies in bed lol I shoot it at my ceiling haha
Does that weigh significantly more than a lightbulb? Some people have very dodgy light fittings and I can see a lightgate scenario happening. Edit: it weighs 0.8KG. Here in the UK the maximum weight for a bulb is 3KG so should be ok.
I was hoping you'd mention the display quality? And also test out the auto background colour adjustment - apparently if you have a blue wall (or any colour) it compensates for the colour so you so don't have to have a white screen/wall. Looks great so far though
The device can adapt the colors depending on the background (kind of a white balance option), which means, even if your wall is grey or beige for example, the device will adapt the colors and you will watch the content as if you were projecting it over a white background. It's pretty amazing. I guess it can also work over a blue wall.

First thing I've pre-ordered in YEARS! I will use it as my main TV, but if it sux in daylight I will probably send it back. I don't expect it to look as good as my 2016 OLED ($5000 when it was new), but if it's good enough to be watchable I won't care that much about the quality.
@@123simenHP you've got to be realistic here. At 550 lumens it's only going to be a decent picture in a nearly pitch black room. It would need to be nearly 3x more then that to even stand a chance......put the 1000 bucks back in your pocket and save for Samsung's short throw projector, it's got 4x the brightness
not a chance during the day, especially without the proper screen go for short throw with proper screen if you want to use it during the day, there is more brands making them now :)

I am glad I am not the only one. I used to really take this guy's opinion before i'd buy high end stuff...I just watched this one and was like wow he has really sold out to the overlords. The fact that he didn't even mention that he switched rooms and had to use a screen drop to have nice projections is just kinda sad... IF I need to use a screen i'd just buy a similar priced laser proj and mount it in the room i'd be... I don't care to pay 1k for something then have to carry a screen around...
Im mostly curious about the bluetooth ... I burned through probably 10 different portable projectors and many price ranges. So many had blue tooth issues, delays in audio, terrible sound, etc. I eventually swttled on a more expensive version and had to run a wire to my bose revolver.
That auto-keystone is fucking killer. I used to do professional A/V installs for businesses, colleges, etc. on projectors that went into $10K+ and it was always a pisser to have to fuck around with all the settings manually. Does anyone know what the retail on this is supposed to be?

advise, don`t buy this Samsung, this `review` is nothing but a payed marketing and you will end up disappointed.
There are better options that also include inbuilt batteries lol and you can still do all the same stuff as the Samsung plus more.

That’s definitely Not 500 lumens.
full size projectors can easily put out thousands of lumens which portable ones just are not designed to do.

This is the only thing holding back this product. I find it highly appealing, except for the whole it has to be dark thing.

It can to some degree and its NOT bright at all, look for actual reviews (comparison) instead.
Look at its lumens brightness I doubt that it is bright... Might get really bad big screen experience instead

For this to look its best, you will need a good silver projector screen and blackou curtains.

That auto-keystone is fucking killer. I used to do professional A/V installs for businesses, colleges, etc. on projectors that went into $10K+ and it was always a pisser to have to fuck around with all the settings manually. Does anyone know what the retail on this is supposed to be?
