Your Jamie loftius joke saved me. Also geometry is a really cool type of math to learn because we have such good records of Euclid and early Greek mathematics so you can just follow the steps from a "beginning" of math and work up from a really simple set of axioms. Unfortunately math isn't really taught this way, but it really should be.

26:57 all 8 of leftlords outs being closed kanned is very funny. Assuming ryanmen wait, both you and leftlord could only have been waiting on 258s, 36m or 147p by that point, so I think the kans were fine.
1:01:09 Maybe retrospect talking but I think acrosslord should throw the 4 pin there. At least the kan of 2p made the 4 safe from one direction. It's questionable to go for that hand at all, but if you're going to push you are banking on the wait not being 56p anyways so might as well go with the 4. Your commentary made me laugh a few times, especially the out of pocket little shop of horrors reference, keep it up!

little bit of a fun dc story: the only time i have d/c'd playing mahjong soul, i had 38k points. my internet had cut out so i booted up mahjong soul on my phone to rejoin. by the time i had rejoined, i had 800 points. apparently the tile after i d/c'd i dealt into 13 orphans and got annihilated.
in east 4, you actually have 3 han there if you push with the 9 instead(half flush, pure straight). i'd be curious to hear if you think that changes anything for you.
