This is absolutely inaccurate. The only thing you need to win on slots is to be good to others, bet maximum, and do not give back all winnings. Set rules and stick with them. Example, I pay attention to my ticket. 70% is leaving with me. As the session progresses, that percentage gets larger. The bottom line climbs. Once you play back down to that bottom line, your done. Easy cheesy. Can easily take home a few thousand a week.

He’s 100% right about the fact that the random number generator determines the outcome the second the handle is polled or the spin button is pressed. I’m curious about the machines that have bonus games though. If you make it into a bonus game has your winning outcome already been determined and the bonus game just makes it look like you were controlling things or is there randomization to the bonus games also?
Each bonus spin is random. Brian Christopher wrote a piece on rng and free spin bonuses. Isn’t it a Prng? Pseudo random number generator? I feel like server based gaming is probably a lot more widespread now and it benefits the casinos pockets.
Came here to say this, this was recorded 12 years ago, almost everything is server based now. Payback percentages can be changed when a game has been idle for a certain amount of time (often 10 minutes I'm told). Sometimes I look for exposed games that haven't been played in a while and I'll play those thinking they haven't been played and might be looser to attract players.
If you go to the same casino's you can find the machines that pay a lot. Play those machines. It's only dumb luck if you roam around and play anything. Your never going to always win, but there are machine that consistently pay better than others. Good Luck!
This is good info, however, it does not apply globally. Certain states have different systems. Example, class 2 machines. Know your local regulations and machine types.
Did the guest not just say that, but through the changing of chips? And to be fair here, you technically could make something random and still make it pay out 1% of the money put in, so random doesn’t mean fair.
They have a built in edge lol they don't need to cheat. You're dumb enough to play a game you can't beat. Assuming you dont just hit a big jackpot and never play again.
Can casinos set a machine to never hit the top prize? I remember a story of a woman who won millions and the casino said it had to be a malfunction because it was never supposed pay that jackpot
No. Moron ploppies invent reasons for losing. One of them is the idea that the player's card causes you to lose. This is total BS that comes from the same great minds that knock their knuckles on the glass while playing keno. From a more technical point of view, Player card systems are passive when it comes to game play. They receive results and can add credits (free play) but are not allowed to affect game play.
I find out that progressive jackpot'll let go the jackpot when it reaches the top set limit eg. Basic's 50000 ,it'll let go at 300% ( presumably set ) to the lucking player ??
Random number generator theory is bs How does a machine hit seversl times in a few minutes then go ice cold for a long tome if its random hitting several times would be almost impossible
The problem with playing the high-denomination slot machines is that you have a higher chance of triggering a hand-pay. If you don't itemize, you can't offset that reported income with your losses. I think that essentially cancels out the benefit of the higher paybacks of the high-denomination machines.
Then don't report it, just make sure you have a record copy of your losses for the same year that "usually" cancels out whatever you have won (most casinos, if you have an online account, will have a record for you at end of year). File your short form and if, for this reason, you get a "letter" from IRS about it, then you have proof to show why you decided to omit it//
@@nikeyrawhide2873 I've found that the IRS will adjust your tax return for you by adding in the missing W-2G to your taxable income and then instruct you to pay the amount due. You can offset gambling winnings with losses ONLY if you filed a Schedule A with your return. The IRS is not just going to drop the W-2G because you want to bend the rules.
RNG how so? when a machine has to have a percentage payout to meet gaming rules, so wouldn't the RNG be controlled by an over ride chip? to meet those payout %.
It's logarithms. In programming, it's known as a matrix and arrays. Adjusting those can adjust pay out. But, it's usually all games on site as a whole when considering RTP
How to win at slot machines??? Never play back your winnings. A friend who put 3 children through college with their casino winnings, told me this in 1976. Advice I follow, if have a small jackpot, take out ticket, and put away. Want to play more?? Start over. Sometimes I total as many as 30 tickets when session is done. Cash out and leave.
We also have days that are luck, and days that are not. The key is to recognize those and play wider when they arrive. It's also important to be good to others, share winnings.
Random? You get two triggers. The third trigger shows up on the next spin, the second--nwxt machine or the third. That's not random. That's a pattern. Or you get 5 orbs (pearls, coins, etc) and you need 6. The 6th one shows up on the next spin. " Every spin is independent". B.S.
You are mistaking how the RNG works. The RNG does not determine each individual graphic (coins, pearls, etc). The RNG simply determines the end result:* win/ loss and how much. The individual graphic is irrelevant and slot manufacturers are allowed to program in "near-misses" for "excitement" factors. This was explained in a previous video where they interviewed a slot manufacturer at a trade show.
@@Nono464. You should watch your video. You specifically said that the RNG selects randomly. How is it that a PATTERN shows up time and time again when EACH SPIN IS RANDOM??? You're contradicting yourself. Machines are programmed to give a certain return...90% etc. The casinos will never allow a machine to give back a penny more than they have to. Previous videos of yours tell about a machine being programmed for a quick win to entice the customer. That's random???? No way.
@@drphelps9017 " Previous videos of yours tell about a machine being programmed for a quick win to entice the customer. That's random????" Notice how they program machines for slot tournaments and then return them to normal?? Brings to mind "The Outer Limits" they freaking got us by the nut's dear friends. The gentleman being interviewed has to choose his language carefully against the big bad wolf. 40 plus years of getting slapped by slots has convinced me random is an illusion.
Mathematically it's simple. Start with a number range of say 1 to 10 million. Pull an RNG number. If the number is 1, pay the win. As the progressive amount increases past defined levels remove say 10,000 from the top each time. So 9,990,000, then 9,980,000 and so on. The result is still randomly generated but pulling from a smaller and smaller pool. Eventually the pool gets so small that say it's within a dollar of the jackpot amount but it's pulling a number only between 1 and 10 so a high chance of one of a bank of machines pulling a 1. Worst case right on the guarantee must hit by amount it's pulling a number between 1 and 1 so guaranteed hit. This way the progressive is still winnable even if just won and reset, just a very small percentage chance from a big pool.
I really appreciate your videos 🤗 I go once a week to my local casino 🎰 I've noticed with me If I'm going to win anything maybe a small jackpot of $1,2000 or so ... I have to put at least $100.00 even up to $600.00 then I may win . Any thoughts on that ? Thank you kindly 😊
@@WayysWorld betting Max is the key. Well, betting higher multiplier. Playing at x1 or x3 it's futile. Example, fella next to me his on 1.00 and gets just over 1.2k. The payback percentage is a theoretical number that is based on probability. For example, a 98% payback percentage is a long term number that is based on probability and it doesn't mean that a machine must pay back that exact percentage every time it is played, nor, within a certain time period. Some days a casino will lose money on a machine, but most days it will make money and in the long-run the machine will pay back very close to what it is programmed to return. There is a confidence factor associated with the theoretical payback percentage whereby the longer the machine is played, the more confident the casino should be that the results will be in line with the expected payback percentage. So, as an imaginary example, after 10,000 pulls the machine might be within 25% of the theoretical payback, after 100,000 pulls within 12%, after 500,000 pulls within 6% and after 2,000,000 pulls within 1%. Each slot machine has a PAR sheet which gives a detailed analysis of this information to the casino. To further explain how probability is used to control the payback percentage, think of a bowl with 10 balls. Nine are red and one is white. If someone randomly picks a ball, in the long-run about 90% of the time a red ball will be picked and about 10% of the time a white ball will be picked. Slot machines work the same way, but they just have many more combinations programmed into them to achieve whatever payback percentage is desired by the manufacturer.
@@TheJackpotGents thank you for the detailed explanation. I heard a tech say that the machine needs to rebalance if it gets too one sided. That would imply not random, at least for any correction. You don’t mention that all and it makes more sense that the law of large numbers does it anyway but over a long time. To clarify, to adjust the payout % they just add or remove numbers on the list of winning numbers. The spin is still completely random but there are more winning hits in the database. Thanks again.
Basically, that is correct for slot machines. They can't change the number of winning/losing combinations in video poker because it is based on a 52-card deck. So, they simply change the amount you win to lower, or raise, the payback percentage.
if its totally random how the numbers are picked how is that 2% rake controlled? I guess the winning jackpot combo could have 2% of the number allocation but a jackpot will generally pay 10k-25k times the initial bet ( take for example a d0llar machine that pays a 25k jackpot) does it have a counter on the machine to monitor earnings and after a threshold it adds the jackpot numbers to the RNG making the jackpot now an option after it has guaranteed a 2% profit after the jackpot is paid?
There are probably 100000 number combinations and only 1 combination is the jackpot, while for a small win maybe 5000 of the 100000 are winners. A losing spin could be 90000 out of the 100000 numbers.
@@frankbennett1592 i used to work in a casino. Not directly with slots but i did surveilance and table games dealer. I do see what youre saying but there cant be a chance factor. 1 in 10000 doesnt mean it will happen once every 10000, it just means its unlikely to happen 100 times in a row. He says each spin is completely random and a machine can never be hot or cold. Given that set of facts, how can you assure a machine sticks between certain payout percentage (even over time)….it’s all random is what he said.
He mentioned about 1% of casinos in North America are server based gaming. Some of those 1% don't have to report numbers to gaming commissions or regulators and he failed to mention that. Failed to address the fact that these private casinos are mostly Indian tribe based and they can indeed control your winnings by a clicker because they have no "regulators" to report to and they cannot lose their gaming license.
Video is so behind in times that he states “server based” gaming is in infancy stage. Like Ethernet is big investment for large scale casinos, not really for them. Also Class 2 machines called bingo games (Buffalo, Wicked Wings, etc.) are prevalent and this video does not even discuss. In those games you are playing against other players with similar slot machine. Research bingo or class 2 games and you will find it very interesting.
“You have to know how that machine is going to behave”. “It will have dry spell’s punctuated by larger wins”…no shit. That’s what we want to know…how to recognize the dry spells or the hot spells….other than losing our money. He said those words…after saying the machines are completely random. Hmm…dry spells and punctuated bigger wins is not random.

Slots are just a fun way to spend your money. There are no guarantees, and I think that is part of the allure people have with the machines. People who claim to have a system for playing something that is completely random are out of their mind, or are just seeking attention. The only way to guarantee a win against a slot is to not play at all.
Best way to win is to go to "small casinos " like in the Midwest. They need people to keep coming back because they are small and the best way is letting people win more than casinos like in Vegas
My sister won $30k in a slot machine, after 1 week, she went again and that machine where she won was gone, they removed it. The question is, why they removed and they changed to another machine
It is not about luck 🤗🤗Being at the right machine at the right time 🤔🤔🤔 Casinos control their machines 🙄🙄 It's no secret anymore since most machines are computerized and added random number future it even makes it harder the win 🥺🥺🥺 nowadays unfortunately 🤔🤔
This "expert" either has no knowledge of or decided to ignore the existance of persistant state slot machines. Progressive jackpot machines can also be hit at predictable times. If his audience is players with $20 - $200 then he is giving good advice. You'll need orders of magnitude more than that to beat the machines consistantly but it can and is being done.
Agreed. I think this guy is trying to protect secrets. Accumulators and must hit buy progressives have been very good for me. Very easy work. Provable advantage.
@@TheJackpotGents all I can reply is I know a manager who personally worked at 1 and he told me these exact words except he called them servers he would say Dad the servers are not on today you better save your money it's easier for us to pay the fines then to pay out the quota
It's an urban myth. We have been hearing for more than 25 years: "it's cheaper for them to pay the state the fine for not doing so then doing that". However, we have never seen any proof of it.
So let me get this right; the RNG is absolutely random and there is no way of knowing what number it will be prior to when you push the spin button and he says that you could in theory hit 4-5 jackpots in a row, then not hit another for a week or longer. 🤔 I understand that. My only question then is HOW THE F"€% is that possible if there is a payback percentage that is adjustable! You cannot control what is returned to the player if the outcome Is completely random. I may be wrong in my thinking this is more like a controlled randomness which in layman's terms means its not F-N random at all! The best example I can think of where this same sort of hooey is used is with state lottery scratch cards. They want to make sure that 1. they make more money than they are paying out 2. They sprace the winning tickets out in an even way so as to keep players having fun and buying more tickets.
Think of it like this: if you have a jar that has 1000 balls in it and 800 are black and 200 are white and you keep mixing it up before every pick, it is completely random but you'll always have an 80% chance of pulling a black one and 20% chance of pulling a white one
And so what all if the players inadvertently keep pulling the lucky balls out of the bag? I can't believe that an entire industry has been built on "Noone knows who will win, when they'll win, or how much they'll win", heck, everyone could win and then what do we tell the employees and the investors, not to mention every other bill collector, "Sorry, all of the slots hit jackpots one after another this month and thus no one gets paid.....blame the RNG!" Trust and believe, the gaming industry knows exactly what to expect in terms of revenue every month and nothing is left to chance.
When slits came into gas stations wheel of fortune i figured that gane out by counting and it was so fun then they tricked them figured it out again and 3 rd said im done lol

Judy today was one of those days at my local here in Michigan. I got the right machine. Someone just got up and I sat put in 100.00 and took out after a few bonuses 1100.00. Had an awesome run re-triggering and that round was just under 800.00. Like I said when they do hit it’s fun!! 🎰🤩
Great video! I am a little concerned about these "Server Based" slots though. It seems that somehow things could be changed while you are playing. I hope I am wrong. I know the traditional machines use an ePROM to set the payback %. I actually have an old 3 reel Bally Nickel slot machine in my home and know where that chip is located (They call it the "personality" chip) and also know that the payback is 86% (because it's written on a label on the chip). I also found out that the outcome is determined the moment that you release the arm, then the spinning wheels cleverly stop and align to match the result (i.e. a win to the correct amount, or a loss). Incidentally, I played this nickel slot for hours and hours and kept putting money in, then my wife decided to play it and within an hour, she hit the max payout (which is 1,000 nickels LOL) twice! As the guy says, it is all dumb luck!
Server-based slots are not especially widespread. There is no source to determine the exact amount of server-based games in the U.S, but it's estimated to be no more than 20%. And, gaming regulations would not allow a game to be changed while you are playing it.
Last time after I know about that. I bet max on buffalo. The machine keep giving me free spin. U know what? In 200$. Profit almost 6500$. Before I start to play. Must seeing Grand prize on that machine. If higher grand prize. The more way u can win with high bet. Don't ever play if that machine grand prize are too low. Otherwise, u will lose.
It doesn't matter how much wager in each bet to whether or not you'll win the jackpot or get the bonus. Yes, the payoff will tend to be more, in the bonus but you can still win the jackpot on a low wager. I think that's right?
Here it is...the piece of advice you've all been waiting for...the best way to leave a casino with a small fortune...is to enter the casino with a large fortune.
I find it to be the opposite. Start with 500.00, bet Max on the right machines, leave with thousands, usually. It does take discipline to stick to ones rules
Liked your input. But i have a few questions. When me and my daughter were in the middle of playing the same 2 machines they came around with black boxes and told us we would have to quit so they could exchange these boxes. What are they and why did they make us stop? Question 2 is i notice people that do group pulls use THEIR players card which is giving THEM points and Free play. Is this legal to use other peoples money to benefit themselves? I am sure they shouldn't be able to do this. They should go without their players card. Thanks again
Those were the bill feeder boxes. Where the money and tickets go when you put them into the machine. So they either change them at a set time or the machine has a way to tell them when it is almost full. If people can't put money into the machines then the casino can't make money on them so they are VERY pushy about getting them changed
Dang great video I just pull the arm or hit the button while watching old gals spend life Insurance money. I'm glad I didn't waste my time watching the screen..😁
I wish people had to watch a video on how slots work before playing so they don't sit there and slap the damn screen the whole time they are playing. It's so fucking annoying to those of us who are trying to enjoy our night out. Or the button slappers🙄. Rmg are determined as soon as you hit it the first time to start the spin. Slapping the screen does not help!!!
he does not always win.....listen to his interview with the american casino guide.... a lot of you tube slot channels go bust because if your not lucky as hell you can lose tens of thousands per session .... i watched a lady last nite drop 20,000 playing 15 bucks a spin on triple stars and red hot 7's .... the next day i played the exact same slot with 20 bucks for 1 dollar a spin and hit the 1,350 .... if she had hit that it would have been over 20,000 .... you never know when they are gonna hit
Because some casinos fund some of the you tuber's that play. Casino gets free exposure, player plays with no risk. Win/win. That's why you'll notice they don't seem too upset when they lose.

@@ainamal He is an expert on how the machines operate. There's a lot to how they operate. It is completely random/dumb luck to the person playing the machine.
A slot expert who says slots are luck is no slot expert. An expert would know that luck is not involved, and that advantage and RNG confusion two of the more popular ways to make money at a casino. Telling the whole world about these concepts is ok, because casinos do not care. The average person does not have the discipline to beat the casino business model and leave with their own money, much less any of the casinos money. Coming from a life-long IT expert, and having put methods into place to constantly win, IMHO this guy is only going on his own experience. Either that, or he is using experience working in a casino, which is equally as bad because of the millions who throw their money at machines thinking it "is" luck.
My way to not loose at slots is not play back wins. Take out tickets, save, total at end of session. Example 2022 win/loss kiosk statement 1 Laughlin casino $29,336 through machines, $199 loss and no handpays.

Casino's have full control of the slots and can turn the payouts up or down. They are supposed to be random, but they aren't.
You have no clue what your talking about casino have no control on payouts

Did the guest not just say that, but through the changing of chips? And to be fair here, you technically could make something random and still make it pay out 1% of the money put in, so random doesn’t mean fair.
They have a built in edge lol they don't need to cheat. You're dumb enough to play a game you can't beat. Assuming you dont just hit a big jackpot and never play again.
Can casinos set a machine to never hit the top prize? I remember a story of a woman who won millions and the casino said it had to be a malfunction because it was never supposed pay that jackpot

Your right, never win early morning, afternoon starts winning
I have wins at all hours, but higher payouts in the evening.
Nice to see you posting new videos.
One question, can the casino control your winnings while you use the rewards card?
No! Gaming regulations would not allow that to happen.
That is always on my mind... can they have the audacity to control you with the player's card in that manner? if they do, that will be highly illegal.
@@TheJackpotGents no…because the casinos go by the honor code. 😵💫
I noticed that I rarely win when I use the card. I and other relatives have tested it and sure enough, on the days we don't use it, we get wins.
I find out that progressive jackpot'll let go the jackpot when it reaches the top set limit eg. Basic's 50000 ,it'll let go at 300% ( presumably set ) to the lucking player ??

@@tahoma6889, I stand corrected 😊
The problem with playing the high-denomination slot machines is that you have a higher chance of triggering a hand-pay. If you don't itemize, you can't offset that reported income with your losses. I think that essentially cancels out the benefit of the higher paybacks of the high-denomination machines.
Then don't report it, just make sure you have a record copy of your losses for the same year that "usually" cancels out whatever you have won (most casinos, if you have an online account, will have a record for you at end of year). File your short form and if, for this reason, you get a "letter" from IRS about it, then you have proof to show why you decided to omit it//
@@nikeyrawhide2873 and most people's losses will cover the handpays anyways
Really, it has been $1200 since the 80’s (that I know of). 1200 in 1982 was probably like 3500 today. This amount should be raised substantially.
@@nikeyrawhide2873 I've found that the IRS will adjust your tax return for you by adding in the missing W-2G to your taxable income and then instruct you to pay the amount due. RNG how so? when a machine has to have a percentage payout to meet gaming rules, so wouldn't the RNG be controlled by an over ride chip? to meet those payout %.

Sound advice! I've played many of winnings back .
That’s why I pick selective slot machine. I studied the pattern. However, it true that sometimes the patterns do change.
Yes there are algorithm's especially on the old games and if you study them you can rake in the money..I've been doing it for years.
We also have days that are luck, and days that are not. The key is to recognize those and play wider when they arrive. It's also important to be good to others, share winnings.
@@tahoma6889 True
Random? You get two triggers. The third trigger shows up on the next spin, the second--nwxt machine or the third. That's not random. That's a pattern. Or you get 5 orbs (pearls, coins, etc) and you need 6. The 6th one shows up on the next spin. " Every spin is independent". B.S.
I see patterns all the time with video poker machines. This RNG thing baffles me sometimes.
When was this interview conducted? It seems this is old interview.
I understand the RNG idea but what is happening on the must hit by... jackpots? does that range tighten up as the jackpot number gets closer?
Dont know. But if its a "must hit by.." something tells me 1 of 2 things. Its not random or they're lieing to u
I hear stories about the loosest slots being in high traffic areas where everyone can see.

If every spin is random how do they control the payout percentage?
I disagree. There’s a prng chip, not an rng. It’s not really like it gives totally random results at all!! It gives perfectly programmed results.
Betting strategy works better than any other method and it is not guaranteed
He mentioned about 1% of casinos in North America are server based gaming. Some of those 1% don't have to report numbers to gaming commissions or regulators and he failed to mention that. Failed to address the fact that these private casinos are mostly Indian tribe based and they can indeed control your winnings by a clicker because they have no "regulators" to report to and they cannot lose their gaming license.
Just random luck and of course timing...luck and blessings are the keys...when it's your time to win, you will!! Have fun, be smart!! #serenity 👏✌

Casinos are supposed to pay out a portion of winning but it's cheaper for them to pay the state the fine for not doing so then doing that
Show us a link to a news article that says that actually happened.
@@TheJackpotGents once again from a person who work there told me this information and he was high up in management

Some progressive slots do not follow the same programming as, every spin is independent from the next...
No such thing as luck. When you put your money in the machine and push the button you take a (Chance) on one of three outcomes, win, lose or draw.
It doesn't matter how much wager in each bet to whether or not you'll win the jackpot or get the bonus. Yes, the payoff will tend to be more, in the bonus but you can still win the jackpot on a low wager. I think that's right?
On most machines, but there are some machines that says jackpot on max bet only! You have to be really careful to read them carefully!

Those were the bill feeder boxes. Where the money and tickets go when you put them into the machine.
