We too have been without any measurable amount of rain, and like you I have carried many buckets of water each day - but not as hard as you have! I have heard we too may get some respite from the heavens. Thank you for the Solstice wish! I was also thinking of the solstice, as I have been reading my Canadian version of the Almanac! Hope you have a great Wednesday, and I hope we both get some much needed rain! I have been putting out water for the small creatures that visit me - bunnies, squirrels, chipmunks, and birds of course. Even stray cats are welcome to it. Thank you for the thoughts, and taking time from your busy chores! Sleep well, and bless you! ☺

Fireflies have arrived en masse here in N'west WI as well good neighbor Mora, they saw your message from a few nights back and thought "why let Minnesota have all the fancy free flightful fun"!
Those fireflies are busy here too. We usually have more, but I'm wondering if this dry weather is affecting their numbers. Have you had much rain in your area across the border?
6/20/23, where we're on the Eve of that 'other' Solstice in N'west WI...ahhh, the cold frozen memories of icicles just 6 months past now being replaced by the ardent flight spectacle of celebrating fireflies...I'll go with Lightning bugs over Rudolph any day of the week.
