But Lamas aren't really looking for fans ... what they want is for us to do the practices they give us ... like the way a great doctor gives us medicine and tells us what to do to be healthy ... and hopes we will take it the medicine and follow the advice . They don't believe in Fame ... if we really adore them , we prove it by following the teachings ... this means so much to them and makes them feel fulfilled to know that when they offer to help us we take that help .
I like to say that emptiness doesn't mean things don't exist but that they lack any inherent existence and have no independent origination. Everything comes from something else so there are not things to grasp or move away from. There is a flowing of experience which has no self-nature. Rest in the awareness that is like a mirrors ability to reflect, which doesn't change no matter what passes in front of the mirror and our true nature of awareness is like this.
