I'm in the "due to get a puncture" camp. Got away with it many times with tubeless tyres over the years as a nail will generally slowly let air out. I have been looking into tyre sealants as apparently they are useful nowadays in tubes. But that pump is a little ripper and could get you out of trouble. Great review Josh. A+
I've been put off by stories of how nasty that shit is to clean up but maybe it's been improved ✌ Done well so far mate, we've had bugger all flats as well, it's a pain in the ass carrying all this stuff every ride and never needing it, but hey you know how it goes, soon as ya leave it home...
Solid review Josh , that's a gutsy little thing. I like the fact your not pulling power out of the bike , and it's small and light enough to throw in a tank bag . Cheers 👍
Was looking at getting an air pump. Lots to look at. Lots of unknowns... and 'Low and Behold' me favorite Moto-Tuber Joshy has a blimmin' revue of one. Nice one mate. Also, have a bloomin' great Christmas.
Cheers Cam you too mate 🤙 Just be careful with these things they are great but if they can accidentally get turned on (even just the light) while it's in your luggage, the next time you go to use it the battery is flat. Had that happen to me on a ride so I just stick with the old hand pump. If you can find one that comes in a hard case I reckon that would be the ticket 👌
Hello , remember me ☺️? Nice little unit there Josh, neat !! Believe it or not , I’m in the “had lots of flats and will have lots more” camp (true story) . I’m still using a hand pump , mine is 14yrs old and still rocking , but Ima thinking be time to grab one of those units , they look the goods . Old faithful will still be part of the furniture on the trips however .
Yeah I think there's footage of you changing a tube somewhere around here Mick 🤙 Definitely hang onto the old trusty hand pump 14 years is a pretty good innings 👌
Hey Josh. Sorry if you have covered this in other comments below. In regards to using a 140 tyre. The 140 tyre is made to fit a 2.5 to 2.8 inch rim, in most cases. The T7 is a 4 inch rim hence the 150 tyre. In short the 140 tyre is too narrow for the bead to fit correctly on the 4 inch rim that's why the bead comes off the rim. I know many people use a 140 tyre, and so did I until I had a rear tyre flat when riding and the tyre came off the rim. Almost killed me, making the bike just about unrideable. I was lucky I was not going that fast and by luck missed a large rock when I went off the track. Spoke to the tyre company and basically they said no, no, no not the correct tyre for the rim size. I now have a 2.5 rim on my T7.
Shit aye, yeah I know a couple other blokes who switched to 2.5 rims mostly so they could chuck D606's on there 🙈 Where did you get your rim mate and how much did it cost? I can't really afford one atm anyway but be handy to know cheers 👍
I bought a complete wheel. But was told the correct rim is Excel 36 holes FFK422 18x2.5. The T7 hub and spokes go straight onto the rim. Cost under $500. If you lace the wheel even cheaper. But please check to ensure this is correct in regards to the rim. Changing tyres now is easier and tyres cheaper to buy. You can aso run a rim lock.
I picked up the GooLoo variant and was surprised to also be able do all four truck tires at 55psi. These things are really great and no special connectors to charge it.
Keep the little hand pump mate. When a riding buddy gets a flat, hand it over to them to use and keep your Airmoto fully charged for your own/Nat's flat tyres. We all know that dude who has none of their own goodies on board to get themselves out of the shit and always "borrow" your goodies, so let them suffer with the hand pump.😜
Hahaha solid plan cheers. I did see your comments on the other video about map websites thanks for that mate 👍👍 For some reason UA-cam is spam binning any comments with links in them lately which is a bit heavy handed. But yeah I didn't know you could do a route on Gaia in a web browser, fkn awesome 👌
Hahaha yeah I sympathize Pete we seem to carry tools and tubes and shit for other people's bikes mostly, well back in the days when we had riding buddies anyway 😁 Someone's gotta do it!
@@MVDBR I kinda feel like it is paying it forward... First time I went out with our local Trail Rider Fellowship group ride, the spent a couple of hours repairing a rear puncture on my old Beta Alp 4.0 for me, I didn't even have a spare tube or any tools back then! 🙂
great review Josh, sweet little compressor too eh, but I was waiting like others for you to give it a go with the pocket bike pump, maybe in a future Bat Cave you can include a clip (time lapse of course) of you giving her a go in the garage, thanks again for your time brother, you hit the nail on the head about the importance of carrying some type of inflating device and here I was still thinking you could just re-inflate your tire by blowing it up like a balloon! bless up and have a beauty day eh my friends, B^)
Caution! Recently got this little amazing pump that could, initially worked flawless. After one month of very little use the upper digital readout went whacky thus rendering pump totally inoperable. After paying premium for pump and shipping had to send back to company, maybe they will make it right…waiting

Good real world review. Impressive that it could 'pop' the bead back. However I've yet to find a compact compressor that can deliver enough volume (not pressure) to 'pop' it back when BOTH beads come off as often happens if you ride too far after the tyre goes flat.
Having had to pump up a Landrover tyre with a bicycle pump once (when up in the north-west with the Army, we discovered that the weakest point was the rubber tube leading to the valve where it got too hot. Would it be possible to get the short hose with steel braid for reliability ? Did that short hose get very hot ?
I didn't really notice mate but there is a sticker on the hose warning it gets hot. I assume you could add a braided hose it looks like a pretty standard pump type thread size on the unit ✌
Hey Josh, nice instructional vid, hand to know, I have an existing mini pump that does plug in to my power socket on my bike. all good..... David...Adelaide...Tiger 900GT
I don't know, I got the dynaplug pump from the US and now there's also the MOTOPUMPS AIR SHOT 2.0. I mean, I already carry a battery and a pretty big one at that, so why carry another one that I might forget to recharge :)

Just in case someone wants to know.. $89 minus $22.25 for the discount code then $2.67 taxes and $7.95 shipping equaled out to $77.37 for shipping to Colorado. I'm interested but will probably wait for a bit.
Nice but a little too techy for me Josh. The rocky creek motopressor runs off the bike battery charger SAE plug & kicks ass. Surprised to see your flat fall off the bead like that, most likely ‘cause it’s the 140 ya ?
Yeh I was a bit surprised too haven't had that happen before, however I don't usually pull the valve when the bike's still sitting on the tyre like that 🤔 Rather they came off easy than hard though to be honest haha 😁
Another type here. Let the air outta the wrong chamber on tubliss(the high pressure) to get out of a gully then realise he dropped his hand pump somewhere. He's an idiot.... I've been using bthe motopresser pump for a while plugs into the battery and I'd powerful!!. Not nearly as slim line as that bad boy though 👍 I'm in on that in the backpack for dirtbike as well.
Yeah the barebones looking Motopressor was the one I was going to get eventually, but I reckon this will do 🤙 Haha David David David that's gold my friend 😅 add that to the tyre lever left inside the tyre and you've got campfire comedy for days 😍🍻
i use one from xiaomi, almost the same size and price, but that one has a great feature xiaomi doesn't, the ability to release air with the press of a button, i like that
