I need to manually push my 2284. And I have searched the internet and look through the owner's manuals and to no avail cannot find how to release the hydrostat. By chance can you inform me of how to do this thanks
I have an 1864 carcass that I was going to to use parts from along with a 1440 to build a tractor to put a loader on. The spread frame Cubs with V-twins are some strong tractors.
hey i am that guys naber and i know you also got a third cub cadet i was interested in it but i am glad you got it running and it went to a good home.
The third one is already gone. It was 1211 spread frame. Hydro with hydraulic lift. It just needed a steering column from what I could see.
@@EshlemaniaTV hey I have a 1211 that has over 2650 hours on it.
Good deal I picked up a 2284 no hood or side panels which I had already. Picked up the functional 2284 for 100 bucks
Grabbed it about 3 months ago
That's a heck of a deal for a tractor like that!
It still needs that center cover if you ever come across one let me know.all of the internals and fan below are exposed

The metal covers off a 2072 / 1872 will bolt right on in place of that plastic cover.

The 2284 has auto release valves. You can move it, but do not tow or push fast, or far.
Nice cub I have a 1964 I got it running but it needs a voltage regulator it has the kohler engine it is tough
