As someone very new to getting into board/card games more in depth, I love little games like this. Love Letter, Sushi Go, they are quick and fun. This channel is introducing me to lots of new games, so thank you for that! ❤
Scout is hands down the best small box board game! It works perfect for player counts 2-5 and never gets old. Mindbug and Love Letter would also be obvious choices, but both get pretty repetitive after a few plays. That's why I would prefer Fantasy Realms and Railroad Ink (especially Green Edition). If you remove the package, Fantasy Realms is just a deck of cards (calculating scores with the app is better anyways) and Railroad Ink is some dice and foldable cardboard that allows for a game with tons of interesting decisions and variancy. Check these out!
The 'and why?' and the look at the haggis bit was so serious 😂 I definitely enjoy haggis and also black pudding. Fruit pudding is the absolute best though ❤️
For me, it's Arboretum ("murder trees", lol), many Button Shy games, Werewords Deluxe, Startups by Oink. Money!, High Society, and Modern Art Card Game by Reiner Knizia. Homeworlds by Looney Labs. Mouse Cheese Cat Cucumber. Mottainai. Then, any deck of cards that can be put in a smaller box - San Juan, Dahlias, Forest Shuffle, Archduke, etc.
thank you so much! been searching for recommendations for the past few weeks as we are about to travel and need something to play at the airport while waiting
Ehh I think you're playing Scout wrong. When you can't beat a trick, you have to pick up a card from either end of the current cards you can't beat. The only token you use is your "scout and show", 1x a round. Great game, great channel, keept it up!
some nominees over here : -Micro games : Crypt of sedlec / Circle the Wagons -Hive Pocket -Nimalia -The Game -Once upon a Draft (not sure it's been translated, and you might need a big size shoe ^^) -Trio -Mind Bug -Mow (the small 5 players version) -King of Twelves (without the box) ^^ -Jekyll vs Hyde (OR) Jekyll & Hyde vs Scotland Yard (without the box or with a big shoes ^^) Cheers from belgium ;)
My wife and I played a game of "Agent Avenue" at Spiel 2024. It was "too simple" for my wife, but I enjoyed the artwork and the game itself quite a lot! Both of us enjoy haggis (the dish) a lot though!
Small games.. Kluster awesome dexterity game, Spicy soooo good party game, Unstable Unicorns - so much great interaction. Whole Tiny Epic series... its in the title ;)
Small games? Hm... Hive, Brave Rats, Air Land and Sea, Star Realms probably. But besides the map size, I would definitely add the Unmatched series (except marvel ones... just because :) )
@@BoardGameHangover Haggis is just peppery spiced mince really, so just replace the mince with oats, pulses, seeds, etc. and there you go. Oh, and don't cook it in a sheep's stomach, obviously.
I’d also add Trio, 6 Nimmt and Sushi Go to the small games list if anybody is looking for extra suggestions. Also can’t go wrong with the Tiny Epic series!
I'm Scottish and you've got me craving haggis now. Too many people are squeamish about how it's made, yet won't think twice gobbling up chicken nuggets from a fast food place.
Haggis has a bad reputation because of how it used to be made (hundreds of years ago). Modern recipes are much better. It's absolutely delicious and so versatile! Can be added to many dishes or eaten as the main item of the dish. Try it! I will unsubscibe if you don't!

Me too! Check out Ohanimi and Enchanted Pules too, but Scout is the King 👑
Agent Avenue is amazing! I also like the Arboretum, Trio, Deductio, and Karakum, and there are probably many more I can't remember right away.
Hahaha 😆 fits in shoe rule is great
so glad i didn’t skip the shoe ad, Janis trying squash giant games into the shoe in the background cracked me up :D
Hey guys, great video again. Really glad you like Agent Avenue. Keep it up, this channel is truly great! Cheers

Haggis is delicious. Just make sure it's a more recent recipe so you get some added spices!
i'd include Small Samurai Empires here too despite it not fitting the shoe :D

Haggis is F*CKING DELICIOUS. Seriously, you should try it. It's proper good winter food. Makes you fart though.

YES THERE ARE SCOTTISH VIEWERS OUT THERE AND HAGGIS IS BETTER THAN LIFE ITSELF!!!!

Awesome video. Thanks so much for covering Agent Avenue.
Thanks a lot for Sea Salt & Paper!
"Can the excitement of a great board game fit in a shoe?"
Me: "Shoe...Shoe box? I may know some games"
*pulls out a literal shoe*
Me: "Wait, what ?"
Love your videos. Love this one best. Thank you! Love eating Haggis (with whisky sauce! 😋)- try it!

Haggis is yum, and could fit in your shoe, depending upon who has made it...
I like your rules. Great Video!!!
We want more small games list!
Not scottish, but I love it. Its actually pretty tasty, if done right. (from northern England)
I wonder if there is a vegetarian option for haggis? ;) /JG

My favourite are The Crew and Regicide

fun way to produce an ad! would have been funnier if you timed the ad video in the same time that you come back to the studio! :p
These shoes look great. It’s a pity that your code isn’t working for delivery to Germany.
Great video 😂! I also like The Mind - small game for feeling team building spirit .
Haggis is good eating guys, try some
DROP THE GHOST!
where is Regicide?
Hello thanks for great video, can somebody tell me, which of these are really good in two player count?
BGG shows "best at" information.
Okay.... how about baby shoes ?
Hahahahaha great vid
You guys are funny
Man I wish fewer games had cards in them :|
cool video
